So I go offline for awhile and they're all saying it wasn't an attempt. Come back and now it probably was? Maybe Null's running off to the hills with 40 acres and a mule is a good idea for me too.

There's only two kinds of people that make assassination attempts. Those that don't care if they live and those that do.

I can't imagine there's that many people with a death wish that are competent. I figure crooks was the best they had groomed and even then I think he was just naive about his chances of making it out alive. This new guy knew the stakes. You can see it by the precautions he took. The problem is that hurt his chances of success. He was overwhelmed by fear because he was smart enough to realize he was fucked. It did save his life though.

Anybody that's good at this job wants to get out alive when they make the shot. But the higher profile the individual and the more attempts made on their lives ensures very thin margins of success, let alone survival. He had more brains then balls assuming he wasn't blackmailed into this shit.

Even if your a really good fucking assassin you cant expect to kill a president and ride off into the sunset. Not now in the Internet age. You could pull it off with African politicians or some politicians daughters boyfriend car "accident", maybe a Kennedy back before camuras were stapled to everything but now? Their lives are over the moment they fire that trigger. It's why I was sure they wouldn't do it again.

They are really desperate for him not to win.

Look the desperation is in part because of what's going on in Ukraine. If he undoes that it's going to damage and waste everything they've built in Europe (good) there's more at stake then people realize.

My immediate impression: this guy is schizo for sure, but also a total patsy- "they" don't care what happens to him. No effort is being made to sweep his internet presence up this time.
