Something I've been wondering for a while about breadtube, as well as lefternet as a whole. Why do they have an obsession with response videos? For every right leaning video/channel there are leftubers with varying sizes deboonking it. Sometimes not even of political content. Why is that? Why is there more of this than right wing response videos?
Is it because they tend to be more terminally online so they have more time for this crap? Is it part of the grift? Or is it just because it's easier to go for meaningless topics and low hanging fruit than to actually have the effort to discuss anything actually important?

Response videos requires less effort, and peddling their ideas without a clear antagonist is more difficult.

They are basically parasites that must latch on to a larger content creator for relevancy. However, they depict themselves as “heroes” who are fighting against some sort of supervillain, rather than a reasonable alternative to other political ideas.

Alternatively, some right wing content creators deboonk leftist figures for similar political advancement, but most of them have lives outside of the internet, which all breadtubers lack. As such, right wing personalities are less invested in internet beef.

I have always been bothered by the emphasis on Archaic homosexuality in breadtube. Homosexuality, though a common occurrence in the ancient world, was viewed as a way to dominate others through humiliation and submission.
