You know, that reminds me of something I've been pondering lately - her case of endometriosis had to be bad enough to warrant getting a hysterectomy, because ever since eugenics fell out of favour most medical professionals are extremely reluctant to sterilise mentally challenged women, even the ones who can't wipe their own asses unassisted. Either it really was that bad and they took her word for it when she said she was sure she doesn't want kids (as that's usually asked, and if the answer is "yes" or "maybe" they might go over options such as freezing eggs/surrogacy), or used her gender shit to get immediately approved for the procedure, no questions asked... since as soon as gender issues are thrown into the mix, all concerns about possibly regretting it down the line go straight out the window. (Source: several detransitioner stories + those from mothers concerned about their autistic daughters pooning out)

In her case, I wonder if there is some chance that they also quietly did a Mississippi appendectomy on her. She was asleep during most of it. That's how interested she was in her daughter. -- You don't have to be a genius to know that Amanda is feeble-minded. Anyone who interacts with her would know that something is seriously wrong. It's possible that her mother signed off on that as well.
-- Both Stapfh and AmberLynn are also pretty special in a bad way. Stapfh moreso. It's quite possible that she did have endo bad enough to need a hysterectomy but it sounds a bit like overkill, because a hysto is usually the treatment of last resort. I can't help but think that Mr. and Mrs. Frigly might have had a finger on the scale, because surely the doctors would have discussed it with her parents, given Stapfhs' pretty obvious limitations.
- AmberLynn is a slightly harder call, because the usual treatment for a few suspicious cells from a pap smear is usually a lot more conservative in someone her age. No parents/guardians involved in that instance, but someone who is 500# and a raging BPD? Might just be easier on the medical staff in the long run to pull the works.
Maybe there are some based doctors out there. Maybe. Just a hopeful theory. Go ahead with the puzzle pieces.
