For stock maps I'd suggest installing weapon reverts (another variant) so weapons can have pre-MyM/pre-JI stats. (the reverts can be toggled by players on a per weapon basis)
You'll probably want to block RCON so that random bots and trannies won't be able to remotely issue commands to the server or try to by guessing random passwords, on top of making sure that SSH access is locked down, blocking RCON is as easy as setting
I suggest using something like LinuxGSM to automate server management since it even has neat notification integration so you can be pinged when the server needs to be updated once in a while.
Oh also since the 64-bit update you might need to make up your mind between using the 32-bit and 64-bit server, the tl;dr is that SourceMod plugins work just fine in 32-bit while many including the weapon revert ones won't in 64-bit, I have no clue how long Valve is willing to support 32-bit SRCDS.
