One detail I also find particularly interesting is a comment from Marty, who mentioned that as part of the deal between Rax and Thump, Taylor would continue to be beaten and gang-raped if Rax fails to pay him back. I imagine Rax in the future begging the evil Rice Warrior to stop abusing his totally real wife, and ultimately failing.
