I can't wrap my head around how phil has managed to make his streams even more all about money.

I can't wrap my head around how phil has managed to make his streams even more all about money. Like it's dsp so no shit the entire streams are based on money and always have been but how is it even worse now? It's literally every 5 to 10 minutes now he's talking about money in one way or another. Who does this appeal to? Who wants to watch someone constantly counting up their money in front of you while asking for more?

Because he knows that most of the time, the begging works. His existing fans are dented enough to either fall for his mini scams like saying tips aren't working, or stalling on shouting them out, or just don't care and want to be the streams' saviour. Now add to this an influx of equally dented KC fans.

So after refusing to wear the vest as a goal reward on yesterday's early stream, he did it again on the late stream:

Looks like he's abandoning the whole vest/dress-up thing slowly but surely. Note how he's also not wearing the glasses and even refuses to wear the hat. Not that any of his supporters care, because they haven't been caring for some time now.

Sir Vizzant's gonna get confused if he comes on (wouldn't be surprised if he does, Viscant doesn't really have any bad blood with DSP and he's a very nice person almost to a fault) and Phil suddenly starts talking about his black boycrush and tries to get Sir Vizzant to go along with it.

As he does less gaming and more talking, it's even more obvious. He has zero passion for gaming, it's just a vehicle to make money. Most people who aren't special can see through this.

He treats playing games like it's an office job that he clocks in and out of, which is probably the opposite of the vast majority of gaming streamers.

DSP has admitted he was rushing to put up the blackout curtains in his office and without a stud detector, he drilled multiple holes into the stud in his wall to get them up. Mr Puffy asked why didn't you get a stud detector and Phillip excuse is that there's many holes in the wall already from the previous owners.

His exposure to a lot of adult/family experiences are from 80s and 90s shows and movies. His experience with home repairs is the movie The Money Pit. He is the hero who installed a curtain without the floor collapsing. Big adult-style accomplishment.

Maybe it explains the lack of vacations. He thinks only Clark Griswald disasters happen on family vacations.

He also knows damn well that for generations now people have made a living just talking shit for an audience. You just need to be vociferous and loud enough. Which is especially easy for him because he is an idiot and hates everything, and he has no interest in changing what few views he has on anything. Why play games when you can proselytize to a group of actual retards for two and a half hours, banning and insulting anyone who disagrees with him, then clock out? He makes money, his ego is soothed and his audience feels entertained and/or validated.

If he’d jumped ship onto covering Gamergate when it was in full swing he could have gotten away with changing his format all at once. Just pivot to bitching about gaming full-time, then start mixing in other news items. Of course, he still would have failed to be successful, since Phil handles the bantz even worse than the Gunt, but maybe long-term he’d have been in a slightly better place since even Phil had the sense to purchase property.

I actually feel like this is one of the least mentioned parts of how DSP is not appealing as a streamer(or person). I seriously think he has the worst voice I have ever heard. The combo of every negative you can have in a voice and way of speaking combined into the most annoying, gay, nasally voice I've ever heard. I don't know maybe I just think that cause he's so annoying that I associate his voice with it but it's horrible. As LTG said "his voice box never deepened".

It's bizarre how his voice hasn't gotten much deeper as he got older. Even back when he first started doing youtube, he sounded like a teenager.

When I first discovered Phil way back in 2009 I remember the very first opinion I ever formed of him wasn't "this guy sucks at games" or "the camcorder quality is terrible". It was "man, this guy's voice fucking sucks".

He sounds a lot like Chris Pirillo (former TechTV host), imo. Immediately thought of him when hearing Phil for the first time.

The only appeal is to actual retards and incels. What fucking normal person wants to watch someone play games mediocre at best, shitty at worst, while listening to them talk non-stop? Only time I want to watch someone talk over a game is if they're an expert it at and trying to show you something. I went and watched a long playthrough of SkullMonkeys last week, 0 commentary and the guy knew what he was doing as he only died once on a bonus stage where you had to die to leave. It's a hard as shit game. I can watch The Casting of Frank Stone without Phil playing Dora the Explorer, giving a book report on everything he's currently seeing, and begging for money.

Btw if anyone hasn't noticed, Null's paypigs have been showing up to donate to Phil the last few days. It's either that or someone taking their names.
