I don't think Zack's raging at people more successful than him would ever not suck, but the fact that he's pretending that defending Hollywood slop is a moral crusade is particularly insufferable. Along with the fact he lies constantly about woke/DEI when it comes to Disney especially (it's a problem throughout Hollywood, but Disney and Amazon seem to be the worst).
It's crazy too, SWT used to Huff copium for a bit before giving up around Kenobi.
Hollywood has the exact same death spiral comics went through at 1000000x the money. If the Big Two make a bad comic--which according to him is with alarming frequency--it can be easily hidden in obscurity.* No one can hide The Acolyte or the Sequel Trilogy or Dial of Destiny. Hollywood and ESG is part of the reason why the DEI agenda is failing now because these failures are expensive in the Second Great Recession.
That's one of the snags when dealing with the "BPC", as Zack dubs them: they demonstrably don't speak with one voice. The fact that they can passionately disagree over pieces of media without descending into Balkan-esque blood feuds over it really rubs Zack the wrong way for some reason.
Agreed, but I don't think that's the whole story. A lot of broken people or people with problems in their life are attracted to comics and other nerd pursuits. But people can change and grow. Some people who were initially attracted to comics when things were bad in their lives get better, get over those things, and go on to live relatively healthy lives. But even so, these people retain their love of comics.
I think it's a recent phenomenon for weirdos to make up the comic fandom. When I was a kid, comics were just something Dads bought for their kids. It was a fairly normal thing to have read a few super hero comics in grade school. Since you were a kid, your collection would be pretty random. I had a super sized Spider-man team up issue, a few random issues of Spider-man and the Hulk, and some Batman and G. I. Joe comic and record sets. (Oh, and a Swamp Thing comic and record set.) We didn't have videogames, or videotapes, or any of that stuff. So comics were a bigger deal back then. I mostly spent my allowance on Dungeons and Dragons so never got into serious collecting.
Wait till Richard finds out about people who are paid to blindly PRAISE things! Surely he will have some choice words for those scam artist grifters!
And those words will be, "How can I get in on this scam?"
Damn that's tough. The rest of CG better watch their asses. If only they didn't stubbornly stick to one platform past the point they needed to and chased off anyone who tried an alternative. Such a shame they declared TND on someone who may have been willing to offer a hand to Cecil and had the resources to do so.

Drinker in this post is saying how odd it is that not even that long ago they announced this film as the next TRILOGY... and now it's been silent since the failures of Acolyte and Dial, and other properties... But Zack doesn't get this, because he's too busy fighting the good fight for Hollywood.
I dunno, if he keeps this up, I know a group of guys who'd like to run a train on him for 12 hours.
I'm leaning towards him having a brain tumor at this point. Maybe he was in an accident that changed his personality. This is an amazing wild change in mood from the guy who started ComicsGae.
