When I played it on Wii U my ex asked me why I stopped playing the sonic rip off I had been excited about or if I had beat it overnight or something and I told her I quit because it had the stench of deviantart and tumblr all over it and her totally not online ass had no idea what that meant and just went ... Uh okay?

They did put in an option to just play the levels and skip the cutscenes

yeah if anyone plays this definitely do this the story really wouldn't be that bad if it didn't have voice acting and the cut scenes were 1/4 as long. it's not any worse than any typical sonic story. evil guy, power gem, animal kingdoms at war over the power gem bad guy steals it so they unite.

Never got into Freedom Planet, tried it once and never saw a reason to play it over any sonic game and especially the chad Spark The Electric Jester series whose creator didn't troon out and actually feels like a genesis game tribute with it's designs and gameplay

that's next on my list of stuff I'd like to get and play. I read the entire 2nd game is included with the third but minus the story just the levels. which I don't really give a fuck about the story but it kinda sucks they bothered to rebuild the levels in a better (from what I've heard) engine and didn't just include the cut scenes or voice lines or however the last two of those deliver their plot. the first game looks awesome from the videos I saw.

I hope so. I always say I'm not really that big of a sonic fan but then I think about it and I've seen all the cartoons, played all the console and most handheld games, know the first like 150 Archie issues really well because I grew up reading them and own all the collections they put out and itt I've done mini reviews of fan games and talked about how I've mentally thought about what my dream sonic game would be. I think I just tell myself I'm not. I'm like a totally normal grown man I feel like there's not many in the sonic fandom who aren't furries, faggots, or furry faggots. I pray whitehead is a normal dude who just likes sonic and is great at making games.

Honestly you'd be better off just playing the second game rather than playing it's levels in the third, due to engine differences some of the levels act weird whereas the normal game doesn't have those issues, plus story and cut-scene stuff is included as well

I don't know what the hell they were smoking with that character design, that alone killed my interest in it. A decent character is a must for a platformer, that thing looks like it's a melting creature from a Silent Hill Pokemon-clone spinoff.

I just looked at it. that's a shame. I thought the gameplay looked cool when I saw a trailer. I'll probably still play it but pirate it or get it for super cheap on a sale. I have a much higher tolerance for clunky and glitchy gameplay than your average person because honestly I play more bad games than good ones because instead of pissing me off it gives me some laughs. I primarily retro game so I play a lot of garbage.

I will agree about the character design it looks atrocious but I thought from what I saw it looked fun. I wonder what went wrong in development overall. maybe that team just can't make a 3D game worth a fuck.

Personally even if the gameplay is just alright I don't think I could stomach this game to be honest solely on how awful it looks. The colors hurt my eyes, the art direction looks like Monument Valley if it was made by a bunch of pajeets in a call center, I can't even stomach looking at it to be honest.

I could see that, I think I agree with you but I also think I could probably get used to it after a while. personally graphically I've never played a game no matter how ugly I couldn't adapt to after a bit even if I disliked it. although I have had times I tried something, hated how it looked, but also didn't like something else so I turned it off after 20 minutes and didn't give it a fair enough shake

There were some mentions in later threads about how the issues are lining up with what he claims and I don't know if that's true or not, but are people that gullible? That last part alone sounds too good to be true.

I dunno. I've been getting tweets with screencaps about how Flynn has the final say on what these characters do, so it eouldn't surprise me if he did this to Lanolin, who's ABT's character. Not to mention, it is 100 percent in-character for Flynn to build up to something, and then blueball the reader on it, so it's also in-character for him to outright confirm the lesbian ship, only to sink it not even a few issues later, cuz status quo. Again, take this with a grain of salt.
