Not necessarily. What Legal Mindset specifically said was that he planned to take the case to trial. Nick's appealing for discretionary review of a pre-trial decision, which is an endeavor with almost no hope of success. The main reason he would do that is that if he did not plan to take the case to trial, since if he ultimately accepts a plea deal typically he would be required to waive the right to appeal on that basis. It's obviously possible that he's whining to his lawyer (now lawyers) to "DO EVERYTHING!!! NOW! NOW!! NOW!!!", and will go to trial if this fails, but I wouldn't take it as confirmation yet.
