Dan is intelligent, but his lack of energy to learn a better way to present this, via learning different spoken cadences, or encouraging exploration is tinys perceived “boundaries”, will always make tiny appear to be the greater of the two.

Unironically true. I agree with all of your text, but this part specifically, that he has way more potential than Tiny but he'll never actually use it, rings especially true.
I've said it before, I like Dan. I completely understand why people hate him tho, and I even get to hate him at times.
He has a lot of very bad qualities, and he's very dislikable on a personal level. But at heart he's a lot like a Kiwifarmer ( I believe Code Cave was the one who made the comparison once, but it might have been Island Crawler, I can't quite remember), which is why I can't help to like him.
He's unhinged and a drama farmer, and I guess I can't help but like people who are similar to me in that way.
His bad qualities (being lazy, general ineptitude due to a whole life of always trying to take shortcuts, being almost sociopathic when he's talking about people he considers "lower" than him, huge ego which can only be surpassed by Tiny's, believing he's a bad dad since I'm pretty sure he spends all of his day in that cuckshed instead of spending time with his kids, being unknowingly rude to all people he interacts with due to him subconsciously believing himself to be superior to them, etc.) are the reasons why I don't ever go to bat for him in the thread, since I think people are completely justified in shitting on him as he can be quite annoying and dumb a lot of the time.
inb4 Dan outgrows and turns on Tiny like his previous close friends. Think about all that resentment he has boiling in him after being under Tiny’s foot for so long. Constantly undermined for years.
Although I wish for this scenario due to all the personal details that these two could leak about the other if they were fighting, I don't believe it will ever happen. Dan is too complacent, and too lazy to ever become a consistent streamer. He's perfectly happy being Tiny's side kick for the rest of his life.
