It’s established woodland that has been unmaintained for 10 years or more, enough for those saplings to grow tall and spindly and then blow over.
I wouldn’t rule out that it’s Rekieta’s land. How that would tie in with what’s going on I have no clue.
That is a good call. In nature, you only see tree growth like that when a field of hill has recently started to be overgrown back into a forest.
An unnatural scenario is some relatively wealthy person's functionally huge back yard forest. Managed and cut down for a while until they get tired of clearing out the saplings, or a new owner buys the property and chooses not to manicure their backyard forest.
Essentially the Rekieta properties and surrounding area.
Bird's eye view:
She did say that she can't find her way home.
In an area like that you would be hard pressed to find a forest to get lost in. In that rectangle 2.4 km high by 1.2 km wide. That is as far as you can go until you run into either a road, or well known pond or lake. And even then, you are probably running into a neighbor's house, manicured walking paths, mowed lawns or extended driveway well before then. (
Edit: 0.3 km before you run into some neighbor's obvious area
worst case scenario).
The only way she could get really lost in a situation like that is if she was wacked out on drugs.
That or she is crying out to Nick "I am lost and venerable. Come fuck me in the woods Nick at our favorite spot. Tee-Hee. The kids and your parents won't know."
Hell, zoom out. All of the surrounding road blocks are just like that. Even if she is in the neighborhood, she is still surrounded by roads and managed wooded areas just like that.
