No wonder. When their unboxing video came out, and the manual actual touts the computing power of its GPU, I was surprised at the actual number.

The spec sheet Sony has been handing out to devs was advertising it as an RDNA3 GPU with 33.5 TFLOPS of compute. Their in box manual says 16.7 TFLOPS.

This refresh cycle seems like they are trying to do what phone companies do, just add a slightly souped up processor, more ram and an extra camera on the slightly modified shell from last year. That will be $500 please

Every upgrade comparison i've seen is super zoomed in shots to make background pixels slightly sharper.
It doesn't improve the game and, unless you're only using it for photomode, has 0 real world improvements.
