If you don't mind playing a thoroughly old CRPG with everything that entails, you could try Darklands to get your fix. I don't know how many saints it has total, but I think it's well over 100.

The combat in Kingdom Cum was terrible. It was easier to spam clinches and kill off enemies with iframes than actually learning any combos. And the clinches were literally not even viable until you learn the "better your chances of winning clinches" skill, which doesnt improve your chances but rather enable you to fucking win, at all.

Also, the name. Kingdom Come. Iconic, amazing, IP worthy. Kingdom Come: Deliverance? Why? God I hate needless subtitles.

It’s a little known fact that it was originally conceived as a Deliverance (1972) tie-in. It was going to be set in North Georgia and instead of Cumans it was hill folk.

I really do hope the combat in KCD2 is better, just so we can all stop pretending the combat in 1 was good. Or even serviceable. The game has this really interesting combo system that is failed by its stat system. Henry is either too weak to not get auto parried on the first strike, or too strong to bother not just button mashing. And don't even get me started on fights with multiple enemies... I've failed that siege level so many times because the auto lock on camera won't let me stab the right heathens in time.

I do unironically hope the alchemy system gets more unwieldy though. I love spending hours boiling flowers and selling it to peasants at a 200% upcharge.

one of my favorite memories of KCD is being in this witches hut in the middle of the woods during a major rain storm while I was brewing potions and listening to the storm outside. honestly really excited for the blacksmith mini-game.

Sadly the devs stated maces were out, despite there being no end of maces and warhammers with forged heads and hafts.

I'm trying to not get too hyped, but they keep hyping me back up. KCD was literally one of my favorite games and the sequel is basically KCD but better in every way.

I am so hyped, I'm going to say it. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be a better Elder Scrolls 6 than the real Elder Scrolls 6. It might hurt, but it's true.
