thanks for mentioning that video, i hadn't seen it. i went and watched it and greatly enjoyed it. the fucking ending is amazing.

I cannot agree with you more on this. To me that 8bit intro immediately screams THIS IS NEW AND NOT GOING TO BE THAT GOOD.

Kyle - scuttlebut says (i.e. redditor who allegedly worked for Kyle's home renovation business) that he was too busy with his own work and family, and he's ashamed of the OG intro song. It's not that James didn't paid him, but Kyle doesn't want to be paid because he doesn't want his name attached to it. He and James have no grudge, he just has no time (lol) for AVGN anymore.
Bootsy - found out his old "pal" Mike shoved ads into Bootsy Beats up the ass and took the money for himself, and Bootsy was not being paid for starring in and editing Board James. Don't remember specifics but it was over money, Bootsy told his fans to support him directly and not buy BJ blueray because he himself gets jack and shit from it.

enjoyed the new episode. kind of wish "a.i. man" had been ANYONE except the neighbor... such a wasted cameo opportunity... but i like the goofiness of the concept and the fact james is gonna do a multi-episode arc.

it's kind of an old-man idea of a.i. but that's part of what's fun about it. and the basic-ness of the concept makes it feel like old-school more authentic youtube days where people didn't overthink stuff and just did whatever seemed funny to them.

i was hoping the arc would be "the nerd" trying to get jobs in the real world. he could try fast food and review burger time, get an office job and review that weird game made about a japanese video game boss (apology something?) etc.

EDIT: I was thinking of "I'm sorry," https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I'm_Sorry_(video_game) ...had to fucking play 20 questions with A.I. since google is utterly useless now

It's also a pretty good lampoon on people who use shit like hit scanners or whatever to play the game for them.

The first half of the video was really good,even with some classic nerd energy. Then the AI joke came up and I knew the good time was over.

Was there ever a modern media that had an AI joke that wasn't complete horseshit? It's always either the same boomer overhype shit, or "artists" seething AI can do just as degenerate furry porn as they do.

I didn't mind the beginning but that's just because Blaster Master is one of my favorite nes games of all time. I still remember the first time I made it through Area 3 and beat the boss. It was right before bed so I left the game on overnight with the TV off, we had a little spare TV for the nes, and the next day while I was at school but someone turned off the nes while I was at school. I was so choked when I got home and went to go play it. His review of it kinda sucked though honestly. It wasn't awful, but wasm't that great.

The ai shit though, holy fuck that was bad. It's probably up there on the list of his worst skits. I really can't stand that neighbour nerd faggot either. Dude's got like no charisma and him and James just don't have any chemistry together, even in skits apparently. I watched like two minutes of the first of those neighbour nerd videos and noped the fuck outta that pretty quickly. This ai sketch shit was just as bad. I'm not really one to go off much about Mike, but that ai sketch probably wouldn't have been as bad if it had been him instead. He would have made the ai autistic and ridiculous and that might have actually made it funny.

I admit they were tolerable as an accidental AVGN drama YouTube channel, but as time went on. I think they might be lulzcows themselves. For whatever reason, they let someone named Jason Graves push Red Cow arcade to be a pro-Mr Beast channel. Jason Graves forms what my understanding causes drama within the RCA community. When Red Cow Arcade covered the asmongold twitch banned news, Jason Graves got a pro-Palestine Discord to raid the YouTube comments decrying Asmongold for being a rightwing grifter because he said Palestinians were homophobic. Jason Graves himself might end up getting a thread. Jason Graves, calling others grifters, is pretty rich because he can't organically grow his video game review channel without grifting off Red Cow Arcade, who themselves are AVGN drama grifters. He keeps injecting pro-communist messaging into SNES games and said he loves the dragon's quest game for Super Nintendo for being his father figure growing in a single mother's home. Outside defending Mr beast. They have defended Justin Silverman. Which is pretty off-putting. They recently made a video making fun of the side scrollers podcast and Razorfist for covering the tweets on Twitter blaming James Rolfe for Donald Trump winning the election. Cherry-picking facts like actual games devs and journalists were re-tweeting blaming AVGN for Trump winning in argument. In the same video, they admitted in a jealous tone that both Side scrollers and Razorfist were more successful than they are.(Being jealous of Razorfist is a new level of being a loser grifter.)
