Here's the deal. Over the past year, I have become convinced that my ex-girlfriend faked her death. There is in fact no doubt in my mind and it has become a Moby Dick-type obsession to prove it to be the case.
I need to know if anyone recognizes this woman. Her name is Kelly Morgan Simmers although she has many, many aliases.
I realize that "My ex-girlfriend faked her death" is a pretty goddamn bold claim and you are right to meet it with skepticism but if you can endure until the end, you will see why the claim is not so outrageous as it might first appear. If we were talkin about anyone else in the world, I would be a total skitzo but when we are talkin about Kelly fuckin Simmers, anything is possible and there is way too much for it to all be in my head.
The whole story of her and I is very long and complicated. I will be skipping over large portions because there is only so much I can say right off the bat without sounding completely insane. As long as this post is, it's an extremely truncated version of the entire saga.
Here's the short version.
I met this girl in January 2011 when I was doing standup comedy in New York. I saw her at an open mic and invited her on a show I put on. I ended up becoming her comedy mentor. For the first six months I knew her, we were just friends. She had a boyfriend and I respected that but after they broke up, I decided to try my luck and got lucky. For the next three months, we were more than friends.
Once we became more-than-friends, I started taking a more active role in her standup and went from being a mentor to a svengali. I started writing her material at which point, she started getting very popular, very fast. People were falling over themselves offering her spots on their show.
At one point, she was hosting one of the most popular open mics in New York. I could name a dozen celebrities that used to go to her mic. Michael Che, Tim Dillon, Nick Mullen, Mike Lawrence were regulars. Kelly and Annie Lederman used to be rivals on the open mic scene. I was thinking “This is great. Between my brains and her looks, I could make this girl a star and ride her coattails.”
However, Kelly had a Leaving Las Vegas-level alcohol problem. I have never seen anyone drink like this woman. I have known meth and heroin addicts with more control over their addictions than this woman had with alcoholism. Well, me and Kelly's mother took Kelly to detox and then Kelly dumped me six days after getting out of detox. Completely out of the blue. It was unimaginably cruel.

She would post on her Facebook maybe once ever three years just to prove that she was still alive but otherwise, almost no online footprint after 2012. It was so strange that she would disappear just as doors were starting to open for her. She could have left me for a more famous comedian who could take over my writing duties plus had more connections. Instead, she just vanished. If was so fucking bizarre and I always wondered what the hell ever happened to that women.
But here's the thing. She relentlessly stalked me online for the next ten years. When I say stalking, she did not merely watch from afar. She would do things to fuck with my head. She would create anon accounts and try to catfish me. She would allow me to find secret accounts of hers that would say things that would upset me. It was a huge mindfuck that went on for years.
I also think she has been hacking into my computer for years because she seems to know every detail of my life including things I have never discussed publicly like people I've dated and the name of my WIFI. At the risk of sounding too tinfoil, she has stalked me in ways that would require state assistance. This was also completely strange. I could understand stalking me if I dumped her but it's psychotic to stalk someone you dumped.
However, some of this may due to the fact that I know things about this girl that I am not supposed to know. Without going into all the details, I have seen things that can only be explained by this girl either being some kind of government asset OR by her being deeply involved in organized crime. Those are the only explanations that fit all known facts and either one is plausible. Kelly had a history in high class prostitution in New York which is the major leagues of prostitution. She may have been compromised by feds doing that or she may have decided to make that a career. I could believe either one.

Kelly's mother had no idea why her only child was dead. So I told her mother "there are some things you need to know" and told her that I would writer her a letter.
I sat down, started doing some research and writing down everything that I could remember about Kelly Simmers. I went back and screenshotted 12-year-old social media posts to establish a timeline.
Around this time, I sent a Facebook message to one of Kelly's married lovers saying....
After I sent that message, weird things started happening in my life again like back in the old times. My social media becomes flooded with bots, anons trying to chat me up and I've had people trying to hack my router ever since.
I've also been getting ambiguous threats subtweeted at me. People do not want me talking about this woman.
I splashed some money on research tools and I came across some interesting bombshells. First, I find that Kelly got arrested seven times over a five month period in her home state starting in late 2022.
So my ex-girlfriend got arrested seven times in five months in her home state but managed to survive nearly two decades in New York without ending up in jail. That would only be possible if she was being protected by law enforcement in New York but her benefactors did not how the jurisdiction to clean up messes made in Virginia.
Two of those seven arrests were for assaulting her parents. One was a felony for strangling her mother. The last hearing for that case was 1-18-24, almost exactly one month before her fake death.
But wait. It gets much, much weirder.

Kelly had two apartments. She had one apartment where she lived and another apartment that she leased and rented out the rooms to for extra cash. That’s not uncommon in New York even though it is a legal grey area. What I’ve come to find in subsequent years is that my ex-girlfriend was living a double life and that second apartment was the base of operations for her "other" life. In 2013, the apartment declined to renew the lease, probably because Kelly was using the place for prostitution. Rather than moving out, Kelly spent the next 10 years filing frivolous lawsuits against her apartment because under New York state law, you can not evict someone while there is pending litigation.
As of 2019, she was $28,000 in debt to her apartment.
As late as 2022, she was throwing the kitchen sink to keep the matter in the courts so as to avoid eviction. There was no "hardship", That was a legal stalling tactic.
Felitia 436 Convent Ltd. v Simmers ended up getting bogged down in legal minutiae over whether someone qualified for a certain government program when there was no contractual relationship with the landlord and was finally decided on February 16, 2023, almost one year exactly before her "unexpected death".

You may be wondering why the CEO of Universal Music Group's phone number is doing attached to my ex-girlfriend's apartment. Kelly told me about this guy one time. Let me tell you the story of Kelly Simmers and Mike Tunnicliffe. Kelly met Mike Tunnicliffe while working for an escort service in 2008 and apparently things got serious. Kelly claims that Tunnicliffe offered to leave his wife for her but the relationship fell apart before that came to pass. How long Mike Tunnicliffe remained in the picture, I don't know but they were apparently still seeing each other when Kelly first got her secret apartment.
So my ex-girlfriend spent 10 years fighting eviction from an apartment where she wasn't living and that she registered with a phone number that she was using for prostitution.
