Because their ethos is the same as here: TTV - Total Trans Visibility. Trans people should be everywhere, all the time. You should not be able to turn around without seeing something about trans stuff. Any time you don't see Poochietrans people, you should be asking 'Where's trans people?

Sure is a shame that the DEI program wasn't implemented for long enough to get gays, women and nonwhites to shop at Walmart. If it had then Walmart would have been making money hand over fist with those new customers, as opposed to now when only straight white men shop there.

Holy shit are troons blind and deranged. Melting down over the fact that he chose to act like a normal person with respect for the rules and laws. You even see comments to the effect "he isn't ranting and raving like an extremist lunatic.. all hope for our cause is lost!" I mean, it seems a little silly asking 'why all the trans shit' on KF of all places. We're chock full of it, though at least in our case it's because trans people are frequently entertaining. (It's just what happens when a group is 5x as autistic, 5x as mentally ill and 5x as likely to have Cluster B personality traits). (It also explains why Resetera is all fucked up - you cater to people who are vastly less sane and stable, this is what you get.)

Any idea why the environment is very different now? Any guesses as to why there isn't much public pushback the same way there was in 2016, when NC instated a bathroom bill and it ended up costing them economically to the point that they rolled it back? Have there perhaps been any cultural trends that were relatively minor in 2016 but gained an enormous amount of steam and visibility in the last eight years? (Or maybe it's just some sort of magic transphobia gas, that has started leaching out of the soil like radon. Who knows? It's a mystery.)
ETA: It hasn't actually been long enough to gauge a reaction, this just happened. So these people are dummies for spazzing out about it (though with the recent House bathroom bill, I suppose it's understandable) and I'm a dummy for crowing about it prematurely.

I love the phrasing these people use, where someone expressing disagreement isn't relating a different opinion, they're 'showing their ass' and 'telling on themselves'. I think people like this are probably even more harmful to their own goals than anyone who merely points out that the history of Thanksgiving (and the US overall) with regards to treatment of the native population was actually not great. If you have facts on your side but you're an asshole about it, you're probably not winning many hearts and/or minds.
If someone ever founded a Museum of Faggotry, Resetera would probably warrant its own annex. (When I say 'faggotry', I'm using it in the way people used to when I was in high school, where referring to someone as 'an extremely gay faggot' wasn't assumed to be saying anything about their sexual orientation.)
