Yes.

This comes from before America itself was a thing. Heads of State/Government or even nation states. It's the American version of what in Europe would be a Monarch giving someone a pass. The French King for example would pardon loads of small crimes every year as act of good will (stopping the hanging of some kid who stole bread for example).
All of that is pardons for things that have already been charged or otherwise alleged. There's really no precedent in law or custom for pre-emptive pardons of unstated things, or crimes that have yet to be uncovered.

This is a new one. I've never used Uber or UberEats so are you able to decline specific drivers based on their appearance? Seems like a discrimination / civil rights problem.
I have seen male Ubereats guys use female pictures in Taiwan too. You can't decline drivers based on their picture (but you can report them), I personally think they are trying to grind extra tips from simps than anything really illegal.

Wouldn't it be easier for a predator to order up a cute UberEats driver delivered to their door to rape than it would be to fake a female identity hoping a cute target orders food from you?

Let's see if Biden is willing to go that far or not, the ground work for such things has already been laid.

Just look at the wording for the pardon for his son:
ROBERT HUNTER BIDEN

A Full and Unconditional Pardon

For those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted (including any that have resulted in convictions) by Special Counsel David C. Weiss in Docket No. 1:23-cr-00061-MN in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and Docket No. 2:23-CR-00599-MCS-1 in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Nonsense. Nixon was pardoned without being charged and he was pardoned for anything he might have done not just what was alleged. Draft dodgers were pardoned without even being identified.

The Ubereats drama is so dumb. Just go to the store and order your food if you're lazy enough to not cook to begin with.
The people who still use it after all the added fees and taxes plus the jeet delivery driver poop hands aren't going to stop.
They're balls deep in the laziness hole. They enjoy spending $40 (before tip) for a $10 order.

There are though in America. Nixon. He got what hunter and soon to be his buddies will get. Never was challenged. All supreme court rulings indicate its perfectly legal. It just comes at a horrific political cost.

I think this is a much bigger issue with rides, especially for a woman alone. I had a ride that made me so uncomfortable I had him drop me off a couple blocks from my house because I didn’t want him knowing where my house was. And yeah he was a sketchy af African of some sort.

sometimes I forget we have woman who post on kiwi farms, I usually just assume it’s a bunch of 40 year old men talking about other 50 year men.

The U.S. House of Representatives has now been fully seated*, with a result of a Democratic gain of 1. Speaker Mike Johnson's 220 majority is the same as the working majority he's had throughout the 118th (current) House, although it is one seat smaller than the full-strength majority (there is one Republican vacancy that will be filled at the start of the 119th House).

*Not considering Trump cabinet appointees or Matt Gaetz

There was a bojackhorseman bit about that.

Just last night I had a delivery driver show up acting aggressive and not giving me my food while he was yelling at someone on the phone in Arabic or some shit, it was bad enough I changed all my details and logged out of the app for good. Don’t need to spend money on that shit anyway. Took my bag and told him to get in his car and leave. All the delivery and ride sharing stuff is DOMINATED by immigrant men and noncitizens staying for a month or two before going back home. Go figure Twitter cares more about brown people doing a halfass job for a quick buck than women getting yelled at by strange men on the street.

I have only used Uber when visiting a bigger city. It can definitely come in handy as a tourist.

But that was me going from Public Point A to Public Point B and then eventually going back to my (still public) hotel. Plus, I was never alone when I did it. It's an entirely different ballgame if you're entrusting the Uber driver to take you home and/or be in the car with them by yourself. I never had a bad experience with an Uber driver and I even had a couple I really liked, but Ubering requires you to put a lot of trust into a stranger. Sometimes it's a risk you have to take.

And on the other hand, taxis and busses have been going to houses for far longer than Uber and Lyft existed.

You only seem to post in US Politics General, the Breadtube thread and Hasan Piker's thread. Take a tour through Stinkditch sometimes. You'll encounter some pretty angry women and realize you brush shoulders with lady kiwis all the time.

Can confirm. All I see are immigrants and shitskins with a few chinks and nignogs in the mix, but otherwise being a white guy doing Uber is a minority in itself.

They're so fucking terrible at it too. You'd think a job that requires you to be somewhat sociable would force these fuckers to speak and learn how to use proper english, but nope.... walk in store, shove phone in front counter's face, leave with package. And they all act like they know each other too. On more than one occasion when I'm waiting to pick up an order, I see like two or three of them talking like they've been best friends for fucking years... like they al hang-out in the same spot or something. Either that or they're always on the bluetooth earpiece, or worse, speaker phone, speaking in a language that sounds like fucking jibberish devil-speak.

Although depending on how nice the suburbs are you actually DO see more white people... mostly boomers though, but otherwise it's far and few between.
