What Pat and everyone else calling for the annulment of elections based on vague accusations of "influence campaigns" by foreign powers fail to see (or dont care to), is that it's not as if those campaigns just create votes out of thin air.
They influence the thoughts and ideas of the people on the country. People now believe certain things, and those beleifs led them to legitimately vote for a certain candidate. The only way to fight that is with more persuasive arguments to convince them to vote differently. Annulling the election results because some information came from the outside world is just admitting you lost that fight and trying to subvert the electoral process by saying your people were tricked somehow and wouldn't ever have voted for this person if the dastardly Russians hadn't fooled them.
Its authoritarian to overturn a legitimate election on the grounds that the citizens who voted had the wrong beliefs. Barring major evidence that foreign powers either sabotaged his rival, or otherwise fabricated information that the people acted on while voting, the result should be respected.
But Rick is very openly fascist now, so this is par for the course these days.
