Makes me think that the idea of starting new nests might have some actual merit, just instead of squigger sex it's the result of piling enough shit together. Even humans could do it, for simulated squigga arenas.
The "acron" looks like shit, though. Most hydroponic food items are tilted at 45° and vaguely representative of the size of the food itself. They also have spherical shading with angled lighting, not just flats. Alternatively, do it like peanuts and have a scattering of several acorns, similar to Acorn-Harvest, but bigger so people don't have to pixel hunt to pick them off the ground, or that they're recognizable from clutter at all. One huge acorn doesn't really work.

It'd also be funny if the Oak sprite were 64x64 and fucking huge, as that's when you could "harvest" oaks, but I don't even want to consider the nightmare of fitting a 64x64 snowflake sprite in a hydro tray.

I know SierraKommodo was mentioned for trooning out and sending dick picks, but I know another mod related to Aurora sent dickpicks got laughed at, trooned out, and then became an even bigger sex pest until he was finally banned after being a creep for like two years. The biggest thing that surprised me was he was targeting "women". I still don't believe he wasn't going after obvious men the dude was very gay.

Sorry no receipts on this as it was years ago and I'd rather kill myself than try going back and interacting with Aurora FREAKS again.

I feel like I opened a can of worms looking into it, what started out as a documentation post turned into a full blown investigation.

The worst part is I don’t even know the solid answers some of the most pressing questions. I guess I got my wish when I hoped life would be more interesting though. Maybe part of it is just that I feel somewhat bitter about who I used to be. Or maybe it’s just me wanting an excuse to put my sub average finds to paper in these kind of long form posts.

The main issue as well is that if the redact edit date is to be believed, the Reddit account was somehow wiped post mortem. This is obviously impossible unless he was a pathological liar and, like you said, faked his death.

I just can’t fathom the idea of doing something like that. Why wipe some but not all of your online precense? Who wipes a Reddit account but not the google account or discord? Why even wipe your accounts to begin with unless you’re looking to disappear or hide something? Emotionally manipulating everyone around you to believe you’re dead is absolutely fucking insane. There has to be a reason why the accounts were wiped, maybe it’s for the exact reason of what I’m doing now?

This is some actual fucking conspiracy level shit how the fuck did I get to this point. I’ve been looking nonstop for the last few days to try and crack this shit but there’s nothing 100% concrete, just similarities. Just to add to this they lost almost all of their developers due to some gay drama I don't know much about the specifics. Something about the headmins refusing to let the devs do what they want. They all went on to make a Baycode offshoot called Nebula 13 which doesn't have an actual server but is more feature rich than bay. Bay never recovered from it and since then has only removed content and done nerfs. If something breaks or has any issues it's usually nerfed or removed because the people there are too retarded to fix it or just don't care. No one understands the code anymore and everyone who did is making Nebula.

Right after this there was also a period bay was starting to come back with Bastion of Hestia and some of the original coders on bay. Who for some reason decided to allow erp and furries. But that server collapsed after the owner at the height of their server fired and prompted a new head admin every week. He eventually said his server died after dropping from 80 average players to 40 because of furries(But tbh it was mostly the fact he fired and promoted an entire new set of maintainers and staff every week), banned everyone and that sort of put an end to bay.

I know the rough story behind this. Nebula's since 2020 (I think failed Europa was a side project of it or the predecessor) and MistakeNot4892 (Diona profile pic, Scav/Nebula main dev) is the main coder behind it. Fella's been behind baycode before he added Diona (2012 or earlier.

Spook had become host (up from Headmin) sometime back in 2016/2018 I think (a Britbong retard), the major coders at the time were in a nerf cycle which is normal for bay. I talked to several of those who left before and after the split on bay discord unfortunately.

Mins threw a fit and basically told a couple major devs off, mainly MistakeNot4892 , PsiOmegaDelta (Major contrib, maintainer?), Chinksy, Mattoks (IS2/Interbay coder as well, already told bay to fuckoff before this), Psycommando (Persistence dev) left after maintainer (?), Sabrina (Babydoll) told Spook to go fuck off eventually as a maint and quit ss13? This was long after the first shitshow where Cael (Caelcode jokes. RUST engine was his major contrib that I remember) split off to Halostation.

I think Xales/Mloc (Old headmin/maintainer?) also left temporarily. Some other major coders went back to Bay like SierraKomodo, Cakey/CakeQ (IRL: Daniel Thompson), mikomyazaki (cross coder for Bay/Aurora), Lohikar (Cross coder for Cit), Penlope Haze (MTF/ non binary, cross code /tg/ and fallout ERP server now dead) I think.

Ya that sounds about right. I know Bay has a nerfing cycle before they all left but after it go really bad, core features like the AI role were completely removed for the dumbest reasons and other insane changes like you can't close inflatable doors on yourself making engineering completely unplayable. I really wish Nebula13 took off I really enjoy baycode in some forms and I know a lot of the Nebula coders are pretty chill and helpful.

I did enjoy Hestia for a bit at least at the start. But that was mostly because the admins actually let you have fun. On baystation theres like more admins than players and they are watching you for any little fucking violation of their 80 million rules. On Hestia at least at first you could get away with anything. Plus the bonus of not needing to fill out a 20 paragraph application for the right to become a ligger.
