I don't have any sources outright, but tajarans were originally a punitive race, the same way janny used to be. That's why they look like ass, relatively speaking. Paradise had a few attempts at respriting them, but that went nowhere. Really, it aught to stay that way, lest we get another Fox McCloud who decides to push his own snowflake version of the catboys.

Paradise itself has plenty of drama due to to the weird mix of no ERP, being MRP, and all of the troons and furries. Being firm on the ERP rule while housing the nutjobs means they'll get peeps trying to sneak in their fetish and be unsuccessful at it. From wearable pet collars, to more animal sounds for players, it doesn't take long for them to REEEEEE ITS NOT A KINK when the PR gets rejected. That's really in stark contrast to the insanity that is touching atmos code and moving away from LINDA.

I haven't checked in a while, but every now again I like to go into the /tg/ repo to see if they still have positive moodlets from catgirls having their tail pulled and being slammed on tables.

Sadly no, looks like it was done by a scalie who just hates shitcode, and tried fixing tails but ended up doing a whole organ rework instead. I'm rather surprised that /tg/ didn't distinguish internal and external organs in code until 2022.
 
Off topic here, but I’m surprised nobody ever talks about the forced injection of politics into the ss14 launcher. I’m a moron so trying to find a way to remove that shit didn’t work.

To be fair they do say to “protect trans kids” which does say a lot about their character. Some pedophiles are pretty subtle, wizden only seems to hire mentally retarded pedophiles.

Early on in the geckogoy thread it was mentioned but since then has been overshadowed by the endless amount of retardation from the ss14 community. The loading messages was an appetizer of what was to come

Barotrauma is not even remotely comparable to SS13 in anything but lack of polish and similar levels of faggotry. It's a fucking team adventure game, not station roleplaying sim.

Take what I have with a grain of salt since it's mostly anecdotal.

There's a few large, unmentioned communities I thought I'd shed some light on incase they've gone amiss. First one being what happened from Lifeweb, and how its codebase grew into Rogue Town (on its own accord, fairly okay) and Ratwood Keep (the degenerate ERP one). Ratwood Keep's got a plethora of degenerate skeletons in its closet, from having naked child/teenage sprites to internal drama with furries, the server itself splitting again, and so forth. Worth a deep dive if anyone's more informed.

Second one that's likely worth a deeper dive into is Monkestation. Ran by a twitch streamer, 'Ook', the server- whilst on its own doesn't have ERP on it- is very poorly managed as there's a massive playerbase of minors on it and a history of actual grooming that got reported to the FBI. The streamer hates having to deal with these kids, however its entirely his own fault for attempting to make a career off of SS13 streaming.
