What's kind of amazing is... They were warned.

They were warned, repeatedly, and in unctuous detail, by basically everyone with half a sense of self-awareness, that they would not control the cultural paradigm forever and that eventually, the tools they advocated for could - and would - be turned against them when things changed. They chose to actively pretend they'd maintain dominion forever and ignored warnings from.... Basically everyone - not just groups of shitposting retards like us, but people they'd actually otherwise respect.

But they actively chose to ignore them. They chose to pretend their star was permanently on the rise and that nothing would ever change. It's conjecture at this point. Based on his reactions, I think it's safe to assume the following:

1. He is aware his lolicon obsession could cost him his job. He wouldn't DFE otherwise.
2. He knows about us, and he was reading either the technical grievance thread, or this one, to know our eye was on him.

Wanting to take down a site like KiwiFarms is contrary to the values of the Marcelo I know. I would be very surprised to hear of him being involved. I don't know what your gender is or pronouns are, but I do have a related question: do you think transgender people alienate a lot of their would be allies due to their insistence on using special pronouns and extreme negative reactions when transpeople are misgendered? I get being annoyed if people are trying to annoy you, but a lot of the gender discussion is like walking a tightrope for people with no strong opinion about transpeople.
