Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

Maybe I'm just confused because I don't follow LTT like I used too but didn't they hire some CEO dude a while back ago? Should this guy be the one stepping in and putting his foot down on this horse shit? what does he even do?

The CEO could have the title of Supreme God Emperor and it doesn't matter because Linus and his wife own and control the company.

Whole CEO thing was window dressing. The only person with power to stop Linus from being retarded is his wife

crying over an internet slap fight when you have 10 times the fans that will worship you no matter what is peak C*nadian behavior
It's classic crybullying that insecure faggots like Linus will engage in to make it look like they're in the right and deserve sympathy even when they fucked up and deserve scrutiny. By nature of Linus being emotional and acting hurt he can make himself look like the "little guy" that Steve is ruthlessly bullying instead of the monolithic, money-focused shill, face of tech on YouTube with a hundred employees, multiple businesses and is currently looking to buy a yacht.

He has 10x the amount of cocksucking immature fans that GN has and he will mobilize all of them by virtue of looking like a kicked puppy to both suck his dick and attack GN fans.

I really, really hate the perception that by crying that automatically means you're the victim. He's being pressed by another member of the tech community for the first time in his career and he can't handle it so he's crumbling. He's not a victim he needs to grow a fucking spine but given that he's a Canadian we all know that isn't going to happen.

EDIT: Linus directly states in the WAN show that he has the ability to sue GN for defamation but he won't because he's not a litigious person. What a fucking rat.

I find it really funny how hard he's seething when all considered, Steve didn't even 'decide' to bring Linus into this. Megalag is the one who brought up LTT's involvement, awareness, and nongagement with it all. Its hardly unethical journalism to quote the backed up thing that actually happened that was mentioned in the primary source of the media lmao.

Apparently Linus is going to cry about Steve/GN on his next podcast episode

GN posted this e-mail to their community page (archive)
We have received an email from Linus Sebastian, Founder/CVO of Linus Media Group. GamersNexus’ initial written comment is included below, with the email below that. In the event we hit a character limit, the full email will also be attached as an image. -- GamersNexus' Email Reply: Linus: Find our comment below. We have shared this same comment publicly along with the full email for reference. As a courtesy, we have embargoed our post until the scheduled start time of the WAN show. I think sharing our views openly is excellent. I know there is more that you’ve wanted to say about the initial 2023 video we posted, so now is a great time for you to speak openly. We also have had a lot we have wanted to be open about, but have struggled to do so because of the perceptions of drama, friendship, and expectations of media protecting “their own.” That's something that I feel having full disclosure and open sharing of facts and opinions would greatly help with. As for an initial written comment on this message, we feel it is a mischaracterization with leading statements and loaded questions. We will await the WAN show appearance where your views are presented, and we will, after that time, respond by sharing the things we’ve been hesitant to talk fully openly about as well. Feel free to share this entire email with your audience, as it is fully encompassing of our statement. Regards, -- Linus Sebastian's Email: -- On WAN Show today, I’ll be doing a segment outlining some of the ethical and journalistic issues with your content that I have observed personally, and that I have seen raised by the community. I will be especially focused on how they have impacted your coverage of me and my company, because I am most familiar with the relevant facts, but these issues appear to run deeper, and I believe they could be impacting your ability to be objective overall - something I know the community values greatly. There will be a particular focus on your stance around ‘right of reply’ since it affects accuracy so much, and there will also be some discussion around misquoting (as in the recent Honey video) and your inability to address your clear conflicts of interest when it comes to covering an entity that you have chosen to view as a direct competitor, rather than a collaborator or peer, as you did in the past. If you have some comments and evidence on what break-downs caused your inaccurate coverage of us in the past, why you seem to personally find it so challenging to cover us objectively, and what steps you plan to make to rectify these issues in the future, I would be happy to include your thoughts in the segment. The segment will also include the following letter that is addressed to you: Steve, We do our best around here to do what we believe is right, and to stand up for the consumer. That leads to us doing journalist-ey things sometimes.. and I understand basic journalistic principles, but I’m not a journalist and I have never claimed to be. The reason I am sending this to you, then, is not because I am some journalist reaching out for comment, but out of respect, and because I was once a collaborator and supporter, and I hope to be again someday. For that to happen, though, I do have some requests. Everyone is human, and we all make mistakes, but I believe that for you to become the journalist you aspire to be, there are some errors in both your approach and in your coverage that are large enough to merit correction. Obviously, not everything needs to be pulled. Methods aside, it’s clear you were right about a lot of things in August ‘23.. But it’s also clear that between the conjecture, editorialization, and what I hope are simply errors rather than lies, a number of retractions are in order - both on that piece, and your other coverage. This isn’t just for me, but also for your community, who looks to you to do the right thing. As for the personal side of things, I can’t ask you to like me. You clearly disagree, on a personal, MORAL basis, with some things I do. Which ones are real, and which ones are performative, I’m not sure anymore, but it doesn't really matter. That’s your personal compass, and you gotta follow it. What DOES matter, is treating others in the industry with respect, and being prepared to be held accountable the same way you hold others accountable. Traditional journalism, while a competitive battlefield, has no absolute authority, and is quite often a brotherhood with shared goals that hold each other to mutually-agreed-upon standards, not a brutal free-for-all. So, as part of being a contributing member of the tech brotherhood, I expect you to be open to critique in the same way that you expect others to be open to critique. I also expect that if you cover us publicly in the future, you do so with honesty, impartiality, and proper disclosure of your numerous conflicts of interest. With that said, regardless of your motives in ‘23, your actions DID served as a wake-up call for us to supercharge the changes we were slow-rolling. For that, I’m thankful. Now it’s time for your wake up call, should you choose to accept it. If you CAN’T put your biases aside, simply recusing yourself IS an option, but it might require some further retractions, since you’ve claimed in the past that covering us is very important because of our business’ relevance to the tech industry. If that’s no longer the case, then any snipes that relied on that for justification probably need to go, too. I understand that you may not WANT to rebuild this bridge, but I still want you to know that while Gamers Nexus LLC is every bit as much of a for-profit business as Linus Media Group Incorporated, I, Linus Sebastian the individual, still see you, Stephen Burke the individual, as a colleague and potential future collaborator. Cuz the reality is, personal feelings aside, we both fight for the same team - the consumers and our community - a community that is stronger if we just cut the tribalism and work together. I have always said that a rising tide lifts all ships, and we ALL benefit from more interest in our hobby and more contributors to our community. I have always encouraged our viewers to follow multiple outlets and get multiple perspectives - including yours. You used to tell me you agree with those things. I hope you can again, because this is going to be especially important as we all navigate the weirdness around benchmarking ML-assisted cards like the upcoming 50-series.. So in summary, I welcome valid, constructive, TWO-WAY feedback, but when I told you a year ago I had no interest in public sniping matches, that was the truth.. Our community in tech used to stand out as one that embraced collaboration and rejected ‘beef’. I want that again. I chose to make my statement as a segment on the WAN Show and a Clip on our clips channel rather than a dedicated video in hopes of finding a balance between sharing my side and igniting drama for views. Can we forget the past now and move forward? See you at Computex, Linus

My very unbiased summary of this is
TLDR: Linus is still mad that Steve mogged his 100+ person company for their crappy testing and shit reporting 2 years ago.
Linus is going to cry about it on his podcast. Pretending to be a journalist means that you disclose that you're going to cry about people on your podcast in some chatGPT generated e-mail that included "make this at least 5 paragraphs with no further details" in the prompt. I assume a human went through and capitalized WORDS for emphasis because nobody would do that in a professional email, not even computers. He's not even asking for a comment or what he's going to be "reporting on", he's just going to complain about you on his podcast and real big boy journalists send emails for comments. Linus is a big boy journalist now and he's going to do this because he thinks it's supposed to be a symbolic gesture.
He makes himself so easy to hate.
I'm impressed by the double think of wanting people to reach out before saying anything bad because we're on the same team as he's warning you he's going to shit talk you on his podcast & "Can we forget the past now and move forward?" But I'm still doing the drama episode on my podcast and it will be on the clip channel I'm getting my money from this beef, you fucker
See you at Computex, Kiwis

HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA oh my fuckin god dude. Even someone as jaded as me couldn't have seen this coming.

Linus escaped last time by basically pretending he "grew and changed as a person" by paying lip service to the idea that he would work to improve the quality and accuracy of his videos (a fucking obvious impossibility, given his release schedule). And now his true lolcow status comes through along with his deranged leftist idealism to try and befriend the guy who obviously has contempt for him. How the fuck have these two ever got along, ever? Maybe they did sometime prior to 2020 but they are entirely different people who care about entirely different things. That's why Steve stays out of politics and hyper focuses on raw data, and Linus shoves politics everywhere and is basically just a babysitter for unloved children with smartphones. Steve said he was putting in 100 hour weeks in that lawsuit video, do you think Linus has ever done that? Maybe once, when he was starting out.

Similar to the Pirate Software/Maldavius Figtree situation, if Linus just accepted that he fucked up by not telling people what his team discovered TWO YEARS AGO, then basically everyone would have forgiven him and moved the fuck on. I mean, people like me wouldn't, but people like me already didn't like him so he had nothing to lose. And now by doubling down, he has lost even more than he initially would have, because it's undeniable to everyone that he is just a whiny little bitch who can't accept being wrong about anything, even when he is 100% at fault.

We do our best around here to do what we believe is right, and to stand up for the consumer. That leads to us doing journalist-ey things sometimes..

Yeah so does Steve. Like taking down MSI and NZXT when they engage in horrendous business practices. It's just that Steve and GN opt for "investigative journalism" and Linus opts for "being a faggot journalism" or "soapboxing your opinions without any salient facts to back them up". AKA the shit everyone hates about modern journalism. Linus' email reads like a level 0 manipulator trying out strategies he literally just learned from a manipulation 101 textbook. Trying to back Steve into a corner, trying to head him off, putting a time limit on his reply. The problem is that Steve has literally done nothing wrong. The most you can criticize about him is Thermal Grizzly sponsorships. But even then, he's burned bridges with sponsors in the past by covering their products negatively when they deserve it, so Linus has nothing. He has to fall back on reddit wholesome chungus logic, and boy oh boy, has Linus been investing in that. Check out these dividends from absolutely SEETHING Linus fans:

Flipping your glorious Jesus-like locks that I'm totally not jealous of because I mentioned it for absolutely no reason no I'm not balding? #ugh what a lamer! Let's all get excited for next product with a fat tranny ogre instead!

Extremely pertinent question. What the fuck is the point of this bullshit? Everyone knows Linus controls LMG. Everyone knows Elon controls Twitter. Retarded.

And of course, the eternal reminder that this is who Linus Race Mixing and Vaccine Tips is:

linus goy tips.png

psst... nobody point out how Steve has a Chinese wife too...

Steve spent about 1:30 from a 1:24:12 video, around 0.5% simply saying he's retarded.
I'd say I'm surprised he's still seething about the last vid but the racemixing canuck has terminal short man syndrome.
All Linus has done is shot himself in the foot spouting all the unity and pro-community buzzwords when he's the one overreacting.

These are the examples Linus himself used of his fans pointing out how GN was wrong to mention Linus in the Honey video in his WAN show cryfest. (Note: Linus was one of the biggest creators shilling Honey, perhaps only surpassed by Mr. "Slippin Jimmy" Beast)
brave_IvEFaef5Sc.jpg

So the "additional context" is that Linus' team was just fucking retarded, and completely ignored how shady cookie stuffing is fucking shady. Lmao. Ok. Just do a billion videos shilling this garbage extension, but when you find out (from a fan) that it's literally swapping cookies (and who knows what else), silently drop the issue without alerting your TECH FANS to what's going on under the hood.
Am I missing something here? This isn't "Mup Do Didda's Epic Rap Song Tips" it's fucking "Linus Tech Tips".
TECH.

If there's something going on that's a big enough deal to end your fucking sponsorship over because there's a question of what exactly is happening to the money, wouldn't you feel the need to announce it? Maybe in one of the daily fucking videos you upload?
Anyway, where's his outrage over MegaLag not reaching out to Honey or Paypal for comment before publishing the expose that blew this whole situation in the first place? Why the fuck would you follow the BBC's best practices? How does the BBC cover racial crime? Clearly these "best practices" don't always lead to the best outcome (if you're not an insane leftist canadian), and clearly it is better to sometimes throw them out the window.

Linus takes issue with this, saying he cannot find a single instance of when he used aggressive messaging in communication with Steve.
I think I found some, but I might be mistaken:

As for the personal side of things, I can’t ask you to like me. You clearly disagree, on a personal, MORAL basis, with some things I do. Which ones are real, and which ones are performative, I’m not sure anymore, but it doesn't really matter. That’s your personal compass, and you gotta follow it.

I hope you can again, because this is going to be especially important as we all navigate the weirdness around benchmarking ML-assisted cards like the upcoming 50-series..

"You clearly don't like me, and I think this is ridiculous, but I'm going to pretend I don't care about that..."
"We should come together and be part of the same brotherhood, however I have certain expectations you must fulfill first..."
"If you can't do what I say, you must back down because I will fin this fight..."
"The reality is we're on the same team, and you're jeopardizing that team by picking a fight with me..."
"I hope you can see the error of your ways, because the industry could be threatened if you don't..."

Well, on second thought I can't see what's aggressive about that. If this is how he normally writes, he must write this way to everyone else too. What a genuine individual.

If you feel wronged, believe you can prove actual damages to win a defamation lawsuit, you have the money to do so, and yet you refrain, then you are letting an injustice stand. Others may get hurt in the same way you have repeatedly claimed to have been hurt. That is morally unconscionable for someone in Linus' situation, with nothing but time to while away, as you count your millions and go shopping for yachts.
Sue or shut up.
