I think its important to note that this is not just -2k a per day. This is 2k + whatever number of subs he would have gained on a normal day lost. Also small amounts of subscriber loss tend to have a disproportionate effect on YouTubers since these tend to be the most "in the know" and active followers who care enough to actually unsubscribe.
