Also adding to the fakery and gayness of it all is if you're asked to do something you feel is fucked up on a volunteer position with a $0 salary you would either gather enough evidence to burn them as they go against your principles or immediately tell them to eat shit, not enforce them like you don't have a choice.

The title "Why do you even care?" I don't know man, maybe because you forced us to care? Maybe because you want to teach this shit to our kids and shove your sick shit down our throats through every form of media? Before the tranny shit became mainstream people largely didn't give a fuck about all this gender shit. It wasn't until trannies started forcing it into the mainstream that it became an issue.

It's a few things:
  1. Teachers have no power to punish troublemakers, and some districts, especially poorer ones, will even reward students who do poorly with easy-as-piss "credit recovery" summer programs that essentially allow kids to fail upwards. See Patrick Tomlinson if you need an example. There are children who do not know how to read or do basic multiplication/division getting into high school.
  2. Inner city/Title 1 teaching is literally hell on earth. You can get the shit beaten out of you in the middle of class by a violent student and there's basically nothing you can do to defend yourself. Even in a "good" area, one retard can have a shitfit that brings your class to a halt and there is nothing you can do because admin doesn't care. If they have an IEP they're untouchable.
  3. The passage of No Child Left Behind encouraged "teaching to the test" (encouraging rote memorization over actual thinking so students could pass tests), cut funding from already underfunded schools, and essentially forced students into this least common denominator system where one size has to fit all because everything is based around passing standardized tests.
  4. As a knock-on effect of all of the above, parents are disinclined to give a shit about their kid's education because literally any retard can get their GED with the bare minimum amount of effort. This is anecdotal but I used to browse r/teachers a bunch and there were so many stories of a teacher trying to contact a family about a kid's behavioral/academic problems and getting stonewalled because the parent doesn't give a shit. Admin will usually side with the parent no matter what because the only priority is pushing kids through so they can get more funding.
  5. The pay is shit. I think this has always been an issue but it used to be semi-justifiable because if you stayed long enough you could a decently high salary and teaching was kind of a sacred(?) profession. With Bidenflation and retarded ape students and the general public having a giant hateboner for teachers there is very little reason to stay.

I don’t know what it is with Reddit mods but I have never seen any other group of people so drunk off of so little power. I can’t even think of a place to start, there are so many examples that it’s just become ubiquitous. Every single fucking post, comment, or ban message from a mod has this extremely shallow, smug and preachy tone, usually with a heavy dose of seething resentment towards the peasant who dared violate the holy commandments of your 200 member subreddit.

Amen. This reminded me of the time when I was banned from Vampire Freaks. Long story short, I rated a mod with a 1, lowest rating, and was banned as a result. It came out of the blue and made me realize when you give average users power and control; they're going to abuse it. No mercy. The same can be said with Reddit. Just one toe out of line and a butt-hurt mod will suspend your account.

Yes to all of this plus the fact that actually teaching, as in standing in front of kids giving instruction or tutoring them after school, feels like very little of what you do. The rest of your time is spent in a nightmare of ever-growing paperwork and meetings that make your job much, much worse. You cannot fail a student who refuses to do any homework and looks you straight in the face and says he's not going to do any of it because he knows he can do credit recovery for two weeks in the summer and have the same outcome (this has apparently become very common in middle schools, especially since the pandemic). You must write a plan for interventions you're going to do that must progress further and further each quarter until you are actively stealing time from others to spend one-on-one time with him during class, where he ignores you and says he won't do any work. At the end of the year, you must submit this plan, extensive documentation of how you implemented it, every email you sent to the parents, a log of all phone calls and meetings you had with them, and if one bit of this isn't done correctly, you get a talking to from admin and the kid gets a C in your class and passes. You have about 150 students so this is not the only kid like this you're dealing with. This isn't even touching things like IEPs and 504 plans where you can be sued by the parents if you don't follow it to the letter. You teach in a good school where the worst behavior issues are teens being teens. This is a "good" teaching job.

R/teachers was never gonna be normal, responsible people, but the profession is running off anyone normal because the day-to-day job of being a teacher becomes more miserable by the day.
