Hermione was pretty much a proto-SJW and Rowling crammed some stuff in about Wizards oppressing goblins, plus house elves were pretty obviously slave analogies. I personally didn't (and still don't) have a problem with the HP books' content, though. It's a shame that she's become an leftist harpy, though :(
