Slight PL but to kids who actually develop BPD, extreme sibling jealousy is actually very common. The fear of abandonment can transform into aggression towards the younger sibling, my poor mother couldn’t even hold my sister or toddler me would completely freak out, and I did attempt at one point to strangle her, thankfully I had present and caring parents that did all they could to correct that behavior before it escalated but in ambers case it could definitely be the case that she bullied or attempted to hurt her brothers.

• Amber spent time just after the foster system with her family, who she acknowledges know how to cook. Instead she decided to get involved in family drama and be a total bitch until they kicked her out.
• Casey - or at least Mama-Casey - knew how to cook, and could have taught her if she had actually helped out a little around that apartment.
• Krystle's mom took healthy cooking seriously, and even created her own cookbook... but Amber knew better.

• Despite being a depressed thumb trapped in 90s nostalgia, Becky still knew the basics of preparing food. During Amber's time there, we also watched Eric and Rickie learn how to cook decently healthy meals.
• JADE TRIED TO TEACH AMBER TO COOK. She tried to teach her how to make chicken wings, basic japanese pickles, how to steam non-instant rice, how to make meatballs, the proper way to make chili and soups. Immediately after they broke up, Amber reverted back to her retarded ways.
• After moving to OKC, Kristine showed up a few times to Amber's apartment and tried to help her. One time it was that "grandma's spaghetti" (which I'm sure is considered a WARCRIME in some countries), but the other time it was that Pioneer Woman roasted chicken and vegetables meal. It also stems from her narcissim. Most people have unshakable realities on how they view the world. Things like the sun rising again every morning, or the reality of gravity. There's nothing that I can tell you or show you to make you disbelieve your realities. Even if EVERYONE told you that gravity was an illusion, you'd be more willing to believe that EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD had gone insane rather than believe that your perception of gravity was false.

With Amber (and other narcissists), her core realities are things like:

1. Amber's a good person and extra special
2. Amber has suffereed more and worse trauma than anyone else
3. Amber is ENTITLED to more than others in order to balance out all previous injustices
4. Amber is SMARTER than other people

No matter what evidence is presented to her, it's compared to the undeniable "truths" listed above. If it contradicts the undeniable truths, it's false and must be discarded. Every conflicting behaviour that has evidence that she can't deny is considered a rare circumstance and not the 'norm' (ex: caused by "anxiety", or an aspect of herself that she has "no control" over takes over (aka Binge/BPD "monster"), or it's the fault of an action that someone else did and she had NO CHOICE but to react in a bad way).

For example: Treating other people with empathy when she can instead do something to gratify herself violates law 3 (Amber deserving more), because treating others with empathy is GIVING and likely involves sacrificing a little for someone else - so it's rejected. BUT, being an empathetic person is a GOOD thing, and law 1 says that Amber is a good person, therefore Amber IS AN "EMPATH" (despite never ACTING in an empathetic way). So the result is a person who truly believes that they are an empathetic person, and every single piece of evidence to the contrary is due to some weird circumstance out of their control, and therefore doesn't reflect who they *REALLY* are.

TL; DR: Narcs are a headache to deal with because they exist in their own demented dimension outside of reality.

And it was shortly after this story that she ended up in foster care. I wouldn't be surprised if she boasted about this story (and her being a hero) to her teachers for validation, and it was the straw that broke the camel's back and lead to CPS being called (and Amber spending almost the rest of her childhood in the foster care system). If this was a lie (that she's told over and over again in her head to convince herself that it was true), I could see how this would have totally fucked with her subconscious and her having to be in foster care.

Even if everything else going on in her house was bad enough for her to be taken, she might realize on a subconscious level that THIS event was the catalyst and it weighs heavy (heh) on her mind.

Oh, and to help clear up the timeline a little: the "I'm not okay..." video (two days ago) was filmed just after Lex made a video about Amber and then Becky announced that she was no longer afraid to speak up about her time with Amber. The current "let me distract you with stories of MY CHILDHOOD ABUSE" video (posted today) is from after she didn't take the whole Instagram CP channel follow seriously and everyone decided to dig up all of the Libby shit again (this time with Emily watching). Unless Amber's lying about the dates, this would have been filmed while Amber was mass-deleting over 1 million views worth of Libby videos.

Just in case anyone was curious about how she was mentally doing so well, and then suddenly and unexpectedly her mentulz randomly decided to take a nose dive for no reason.

@Quandale Octavius Dingle The "mysterious" family friend of Becky was "Ann Doran", an online friend that spoke often with Norma (they bonded over their hatred of Amber, as Ann Doran was a viewer/haydur - and a bit of a poo-toucher, too). Ann Doran also told everyone that Amber's belly button "cellulitis" was actually far more serious and was taking a long time to go away (MRSA I think), and that Amber was on some REALLY strong antibiotics during that whole time (which could explain why she seemed to lose so much weight shortly after the picture you posted was taken.

Don't know how much of what Ann Doran says is actually true, but it's definitely thunk provoking...
