this video was created for technical compliance with USABoxing. It's like a training video for the new guys. But behind the scenes, Scott and Coach Toe had a great laugh about this and know its bullshit.
Called it:
Perhaps before each "side" jumps straight into the false dichotomy of whether anyone is taking a supposed pathological liar "at his word" or not taking him "at his word," it may be more constructive for everyone to calm down, take a step back, and remember that anyone who has dealt with pathological liars in real life realizes how
even they have generally learned the hard way to be somewhat cautious about keeping their lies confined to a zone of what is and will continue to be non-falsifiable and begrudgingly forego whichever lies are the most easily falsifiable, which allows the outside observer to attach relative probabilities. When viewed with that nuance,
some of what he is saying can be believable regardless of whether you think
he isn't:
1. Aaron is most likely to be telling the truth that Scott and SafeSport assured Aaron that the suspension is virtually certain to be lifted when the appeal fully reviews everything, not because Aaron's word is credible but because he knows that the outcome will be public information;
2. Contrary to everyone's immediate assumption that the video means Scott and Aaron have "burned bridges" permanently, Aaron is second-most likely to be telling the truth about Scott's private assurances that Aaron
will be hired back as a coach as soon as the SafeSport process is favorably concluded, not because Aaron's word is credible but because Aaron would know that his persistent absence at the gym
after reinstatement would be readily ascertainable from the same method with which that practice's "livestream" (?) was somehow obtained by Doom, or otherwise ascertainable from whatever Aaron's extraordinarily motivated a-logs' propensity for cow-tipping will dig up about goings-on there on known training nights; and
3. Contrary to everyone's immediate assumption that the video means Scott and Aaron have "burned bridges" permanently, Aaron is
somewhat likely to be telling the truth that he and Scott still talk practically every day about things suggestive of Scott's tacitly supporting Aaron's cause in private despite covering the gym's ass in public, such as Scott's active cooperation and outbound calls in support of Aaron's appeal, Scott at some point loving the idea of using Aaron's recent illness as a PR cover for his absence until that cover didn't work anymore, and Aaron and Scott having communicated "today" even after the video (whenever it was recorded) came out yesterday. This too needn't be so simple as "taking Aaron at his word" when considering that Aaron would know how his extraordinarily motivated a-logs have demonstrated enough tendency to contact Scott directly that one can expect Scott to be confronted with anything Aaron says Scott said that makes Scott look bad, and if Scott were truly so pissed amidst of the ashes of a burned bridge then he would know exactly how (and through what channels) to call bullshit in a way certain to put Aaron in his place.
Any other stuff wandered into non-falsifiable territory where lies (if any) wouldn't get caught anyway, so that other stuff might as well be discounted.
