Eh, I bought the early access like an idiot for that game because the demo was really fun. While I do enjoy it they still need to fix the optimization and balance of the game and act 2 isn't done yet so I would wait for the full release.
Pillars II sucked absolute ass, one of the worst CRPGs I've ever played.
It doesn't have to be good, it just has to be mediocre like OW and that will be enough. Veilguard completely fell flat on it's face and KCD2 is a highly astroturfed piece of garbage that will never find footing with the average gamer(and lost all footing with it's former fans). All Avowed has to do is manage to be the least retarded woke RPG that releases right now and win the special olympics trophy by default.

Yeah I paid for the early access too because I thought the demo was just fantastic. Actually far closer to scratching that elder scrolls itch than KCD. Call me a retard if you want, but I was motivated to do it because it seems like the devs are regularly updating and more or less sticking to the schedule, plus I thought the project just deserves support. After buying early access though I never played it after the demo, because I don’t want to spoil the experience for when it gets a full release later this year hopefully.
I should point out that the game originally only released on Epic Game Store, so the numbers on Steam aren't nearly the amount you would see on launch day. Granted, these would be more impressive for consoles, since barely anyone uses EGS, but the game still released on Steam only much later, to an even smaller fanfare than on launch. Yet another retarded decision by Obsidian since that just led to a whole lot of possible PC customers pirating it.
As long as it's not a constant humiliation ritual like KCD2 or a therapy group session with dev self inserts like in Veilguard, I think it will be fine. The bar isn't exactly high right now.
