Megathread The Pooner Zoo - A thread for collecting wild Pooners and posting OC Pooners, and anything Pooner related

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This is beauty parlor. It may come as a great surprise to you that many of the women here have favorable views on abortion and killing tard babies. If there were a pre-natal test for autism, this forum would be the first to get their pregnancies checked for it. You'd feel likewise if you ever saw the aftermath of parents forced to raise "special needs" babies and how it ruins their lives and fucks up any other kids they may have.
Shout-out Tard Baby General thread: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/tard-baby-general-includes-brain-dead-kids.36867/

I'm late to to the party, and I have no idea how serious this is, but there is an entire thread here on how pooner parents are not really good towards how they treat their kids.

I think it depends. I once asked some re-enactors about whether they hand sew their clothes, and they said that most machine sewed them but one man hand sewed their clothes. Hand sewing for historical accuracy is pretty autistic in itself, and I don't know if women do it, but in my opinion just focusing on historical fashion itself isn't feminine and it all depends on the details around it. I don't think I've ever met a woman who was obsessed with extreme historical accuracy.
I love when KF veers into my own personal autistic interests! I can’t speak for re-enactors who go out and reenact battles (their costumes are often made more for function) because I could hardly care less, but I can speak on the historical costuming community (HCC) of people dressing up just for fun or because they’re interested in a particular time period. Re-enactors who go out in a field to reenact a battle with cannons and horses or tanks and such are yes, typically men. But within the HCC on social media and getting together for dress up parties and events, it’s largely led and attended by women, though it’s not rare for husbands to be in attendance as well. While a husband may at first scoff at the idea of historical dress, they often come to find that men’s historical fashion makes them look quite dashing. The community in general is largely powered by the work of incredibly nerdy women willing to spend countless hours doing research to share so that historical techniques and information from the Middles Ages to the Edwardian era aren’t lost to time.

First, hand-sewing is extremely impressive in the HCC because it takes an absolutely ridiculous amount of time. Watching paint dry in the jungle is probably more exciting and much faster. Machine stitching is very accepted as well as shortcuts like only hand stitching seams that will be visible and using a machine for the rest.

There’s absolutely obsessive autists in the community that research, document, analyze, and reconstruct down to the tiniest detail. All hail our Queen Janet Arnold! Some of them are employed as fashion historians but many more are just regular people who love to learn and share their knowledge in YouTube videos or blog posts. Most are women and are more interested in sharing their creations versus competing. Historical accuracy is highly regarded and praised, though we are quick to remind each other that perfect historical accuracy is impossible in this day and age. At the same time, it’s not looked down on for someone to purchase an outfit, even from Amazon. It’s very typical for a person to purchase their outfit from a maker. Sewing your own historical outfits requires an immense amount of time, money, resources, knowledge, and skill and is not feasible for most people.

An outfit is more going to be judged on how the maker (or purchaser) presents it. Many in the HCC enjoy Bridgerton, even though the costumes are far from historically accurate, because the show never claimed to be going for historically accuracy and the creators very intentionally put their own spin on it in creating their own Regency inspired world. But if a show or movie makes big claims about how accurate their costuming is going to be and doesn’t deliver, absolutely know that the HCC will pick apart every little inaccurate detail with absolute distain. Stop giving women in historical movies or tv shows current trending hairstyles and makeup!!

Creators like Bernadette Banners, Lady Rebecca, Sewstine, Abby Cox, Nicole Rudolph, Morgan Donner, and Zach Pinsent are all well regarded historical costumers and YouTubers. They’re always very open about what degree of historical accuracy they’re aiming for when making something. Sometimes it’s fun to get crazy and attempt to make a museum quality recreation. Other times just call for something a little nicer than you’d get in a cheap Halloween costume. Rachel Maksey is a YouTube creator who often goes with whimsy over historical accuracy (and loves fake historical like Lord of the Rings) but is still highly regarded because she doesn’t claim her crafts are highly accurate and historically inclined people still greatly enjoy historical-esque or historically adjacent things. We all take every opportunity to go to a RenFest! The HCC is very open to a person choosing their preferred level of historical accuracy and intensity of a project - the important thing is that it results in a garment that the person loves, whether they bought it or made it. But given the opportunity, OH BOY will we have an amazing time getting incredibly intense about getting every detail right and going absolutely overboard!

To keep my gibberish on track with the thread topic, historical costuming has thankfully been ignored by troons and pooners. That pooner that was posted back in the thread is the first I’ve ever seen. Occasionally I’ll come across a they/them added to pronouns in a bio, but it rarely comes up. It’s probably not sexualized enough for the trans to be interested and much of the focus of the community is on learning and sharing knowledge, not contests or races. The challenge of a project is against yourself, not others. Trans people aren’t going to find the constant narcissistic validation they need to survive. There’s not much narcissistic validation in spending hundreds of hours on a complex dress to then only wear it for several hours once or twice a year. Trans people want the fast food version of validation and asspats - quick cheap trash that they can constantly shovel in, but never really satisfies, Those in the HCC are more like old school farmers or aged cheese makers - they know that extensive hard work will come to fruition in time and that part of the enjoyment is in the creation process itself.

Counterpoint: troons abound in the DIY electronics, or classic car communities.

Is it because HCC has that more social aspect as well as the grueling DIY? The amount of actual women in the hobby can't be it, because look at the clusterfuck in the non-reenactment fiber arts. Maybe the balance of men and women? Then there's the fact that material history is something empirical; you can hold up a book and gesture at and it mostly doesn't change unlike Warhams that could get a new edition splatbook with rules changes at any minute?

...Well I've been made a fool of. So this is where the autistic women obsessed with history end up.

I still have the impression that older military uniform obsession is where men dominate, but I could also not know what women are into that. Personally, this is the sort of thing I'd want to go into if I had the time and money, but I don't, so I don't look heavily into communities like this.

Those both sound like autistic male hobbies, (moreso the DIY electronics) and a plurality of troons are autistic males, which is why they’re heavily associated with hobbies like coding and anime and whatever else autistic males like. Historical clothing I guess is more the purview of autistic females.

I've come home drunk and I really shouldn't address this but wtf.

I am pro abortion and non religious, I think women should certainly be in control of their reproductive choices but my posts in response to this pretender are not related to that. I think she's a fraud and a liar.
The child in this case isn't a "Tard Baby" as you so bravely refer to her, it's a child who was attacked and left massively disabled through no fault of her own.
In a world where pedophiles and rapists are kept happily existing in prison through huge public expense I find it pretty galling that this child should be reduced to something that we might 'get rid of' for convenience and cost saving.

Yes, there are huge consequences for the parents of these children and helping them is something we should spend more time and money on but that does not excuse the completely callous and arbitrary dismissal of a child.

Keep sending me your Dumb and Autistics, I give no fucks. Deer meat or whatever her fucking name is repulses me, she's a disingenuous narc.

"I know I'm being sensitive" super fucking manly, dude. Is there a difference in male/female writing, because 9/10 I can clock from that alone. Unless a woman's grown up with a ton of brothers or is super butch I can always tell.
You can clock them with the "I think" "You SHOULD probably not do this" or the demure way they carry themselves. When transwomen write, it's "I am" and "You will" and "You are going to". We're talking placating behavior vs demands.
This is genuinely what they talk about on tumblr. They try to convince themselves that sewing is a totally masculine hobby.

Awesome! Why didn't the men just do it all the time instead of calling it "women's work"? They called it that because sewing and working with cloth was seen as feminine. It was considered part and parcel of being a wife to know how to sew. Men weren't required to learn it. Using guilds and military attaches as proof doesn't negate the fact many cultures demand that women, not men, knit mittens for their male relatives and husbands (Norwegians) or make carpets (Persians and Arabs).
This one is up there with the one that ate an entire cake.

"I ate a whole rotisserie chicken and got hard because of it" gives me crazy feeder vibes. I ended up looking up their profile to see if that's the case and found out they apart of the whole "digital minimalism" crowd, yet another community troons got their grimy hands on.
How can you be a tranny yet claim to not be terminally online?

The only true exception to this is the profession of the highly trained tailor, increasingly going the way of the dodo, who worked with mathematical precision in creating menswear. But it's an exception that proves the rule (like famous chefs vs cooking in the home) and they sure aren't sitting around knitting and talking about how "valid" they feel lol

I fucking hate hate hate all these dumb little look at me girls calling themselves gay men or faggots or whatever. When I saw all the troons calling themselves lesbians I thought it wouldn't bother me if pooners stole cocksucker valor but fuck. It's not something I do anymore but fuck you, you're a woman. Not a "mlm" or whatever. You don't get to call yourself a faggot because you want dick in your bonus hole.

Tophats now

Self righteous assholes would rather see others suffer horribly instead of granting them a merciful death.

And it should be your god tier superiority doing the granting right?
Kill yourself you worthless cunt.

/edit
Yeah, I see the hypocrisy of those two lines. I'm drunk again.
But kill yourself anyway faggot.

"It" "it" "it".
Honestly, jump. This girl was severely maimed by her mother and this is what you have to say? And this is outside of the conciousness medical sperging I mean just the blantant dehumanization of a young child that despite not being able to communicate or do basic tasks is still human. These types of comments from 2edgy4me women make me want to poon out and join these freaks of nature just so I don't have to associate with women like you anymore.

And quoting the farm and cow bullshit as far as I'm aware we have evoluted past purely primal thinking and have developed more abstract concepts outside of survivability, so how does any of that change the fact that's it's evil and sociopathic to be treating a living human being as an inanimate object instead of... a living human being, even as fucked up as their state is? It's very interesting to see women in here mocking men when they bring up instincts and behaviour typical of women by going "NOT ALL WOMEN!!" or "MEN DO THIS TOO!!!" while also citing farm animals to justify their wicked wording.

You know what. I just became 1% more trans positive today.

Human life has no intrinsic value. Your value as a person is based on what you can provide & contribute to the wider community. I used to go to a local pool & some caretakers would wheel in this balding man into the water. Never moved, talked etc. What does letting him live do? People born with no arms or no legs can still function & contribute. Those with the mental capacity of children should be shot in the back of the head. The west is dying because of this overly sentimental nonsense.
