Yeah, actually, after I posted that, I went and checked the judiciary case search and looked up their cases. That's exactly it.

They've got a bond hearing tomorrow morning at 11am.

Apparently in gun-grabber MD, having a handgun in your car is only a misdemeanor. There's a solid chance they'll make bond, if they've got any cult members free (maybe a local bondsman would work with them? but probably not out in western MD?).

Or lol, even if some cult members are still on the loose and not dead, I'm guessing they don't remember anyone's phone numbers without their smartphones, so I doubt they'll be able to call them.

But yeah, if they do make bond, I'm sure they'll immediately and I do mean immediately, skip bond and run off into the woods again.

Oh well.

If for some reason they do stick around for a trial, I'll absolutely catch the train out to Cumberland and sit in on the trial. But I doubt that'll actually happen.

There's no DA stupid enough to give the Transon family a chance to bail. They're the dictionary definition of flight risk, are linked to multiple murders and now have the eyes of the entire nation watching the case.

Ahh, see, I want that to be true. But I'm not super confident that's how it'll turn out.

It's not up to the DA, but rather the judge. And a judge's job is explicitly to make hard, unpopular decisions that the public, county-wide, state-wide and nation-wide will find incredibly horrible and retarded, but make them anyway, because judges are supposed to be independent of popular opinion.

So for example, anyone with eyeballs knows that Ziz is balls deep in all the batshit violent criminal nonsense his cult had been engaged in. But he's not formally accused in basically any of it. He let his underlings take the fall on most of it.

So a judge would probably say that it would be "unfair" to judge Ziz' capacity to skip bail on the basis of the behavior of those other people.

Now I don't know, has he dodged bail before? Is he wanted elsewhere? That's something I could see a judge actually holding him to account for and denying bail or setting bail higher than he can afford. Maybe someone can fill in gaps in my knowledge on this point?

Idk, I just worry that he's going to slip away again. Maybe the other zizzians in lockup have a rapsheet to hold them on, but idk, ziz himself might slip away.

To be fair, there's always the chance the judge pulls a louie and holds him on the gun charge, even if it's just a misdemeanor. That would be typically Maryland-ey of the judge.

That arrest information is likely entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and other police agencies are aware or the arrests---like PA and CA, if for anything, an investigative hold.

Bail doesn't seem likely.

I forgot that he faked his own death while being pursued for a crime. I thought he just anticipated it happening eventually and wanted to live off the grid.

It does look like Teresa could be in that mugshot based on the surveillance images, but I remember a couple of people on X saying the wrong mugshot had been released and the initial posts with that photo were deleted. I didn't follow up on it, though.

that would be the funniest shit ever, but I'd like to think that faking your own death to skip court and then explicitly skipping bail when brought in a second time is too much bullshit to leave any doubt what will happen if the dude's uncuffed in public for a third time.

that said, the only macroscopic things Jack's being charged with at the moment are
(1) being too intimidating in the 2019 protest
(2) being rude to the cops by not opening the door in January 2023
(3) skipping court repeatedly
...right?

* The Maland killing — no chance that gets pinned on him
