I have to hold my judgement on Sonic Unleashed as a whole because I unfortunately was only able to experience this on the watered-down PS2 version, so I didn't exactly get the "complete" game that PS3/360 owners got.

From what I remember, the werehog segments aren't thaaaaaaaaaaat bad. I love beating the shit out of things, but i do agree with the criticism that it should have been used on a different character (like Knuckles) since it really doesn't fit Sonic. I just hated all the bajillion tutorials and mini segments.

When one of your first arcs is a fucking zombie arc (with all of their standard elements except gore), in a children's comic, you know something's wrong. I also like that as per the SEGA mandates, all characters have the same dress code, even non-descript background characters, even in populated areas. I like to think there's an artist whose job is to check that none of the male animals wear pants and all of the girls have a dress or a complete outfit (meanwhile, the pre-retcon comic was more sensible with the attire, instead of being the same for everyone).
