I will say this much: you are basically extremely discouraged from reporting an actual subreddit in the first place by the way reddit is designed. You can report individual pieces of content (like a post or comment) and it is then up to the subreddit mods to decide whether to moderate it or not.

Reddit basically lies about this and tells you to report the content (they do this because their staff are expensive and subreddit jannies work for free):

I am 100% not joking when I say this, but to actually report a subreddit, you cannot do it from within the app or website and technically you have to fill up a fucking form:

So if the jannies who created and are moderating the subreddit don't care, then basically nothing will happen until Reddit (the company) decides it is problematic enough that the subreddit/accounts should be banned. The only context I'm familiar with giardia is in outdoor activities ie. overnight backpacking. It primarily comes from water contaminated by feces in this context and is rightly feared on the trail.
