Mega Rad Gun Thread

An American company really needs to crank out a high quality Glock clone
the S&W M&P line, derived from the Sigma more or less, is very popular and are about $100 cheaper for the LE package compared to the Glock blue label and comparable for price at retail (S&W M&P 9mm full size is around $520, and a Glock 17 is closer to $550). the CZ-USA P10 has been made in the US for quite a while (import ones say made in Czech Republic and have a Kansas City rollmark) and is in the $400 range.

people do buy them, and they're often cheaper as well or very similar in price with CZ P10 having a price advantage. they do not have mind share though, as you demonstrate. also it's quite easier to find Glock LEO trade ins than the M&P which dump the price significantly if you want to include used guns.

M&Ps run. Well apparently except the 10mm. And now they have the all metal ones. I've used some really clapped out 1st gen ones and they're still accurate and reliable. I love the P-10C. Rumor is the next generation is a modular FCU. I wish they'd announce it already.

there's been some internal messages to distributors and service centers. i can't comment on specifics, but i will say that the P10 will hit $350 or under about a month prior to release of the new model. same mag compatibility though high cap mags might need a base plate swap.

Thank God. Also the 17 rounders use the same spring as the 15s which I just decided not to mess with them much. It would be nice if the new model has 17 flush fit. The P10 for $350 optics ready is an insane deal. The trigger to me is perfect for a carry. No grit. Solid wall. Not much travel. Not too light. Love it

I never understood the whole Glock clone market, myself. Without diving dick first into politics, the Glock 80% kits were always going to sell like crazy for 101 reasons. Everybody else trying to build a better mousetrap or a slightly cheaper mousetrap imho never made it worth the $$$ instead of just buying a real Glock with decades of factory based fine tuning since day 1. I find everything they aesthetically did after Gen 2 pretty pointless. Besides a rail for light and ambi mag release for the lefties nothing really was accomplished imho. Adjustable backstrap? Really? Adding another part to a utilitarian service pistol? Yeah, no thanks.

A million fucking years ago I was kid, my dad points at a Glock 17 Gen1 in the glass display case. "See that thing? It's called a "Glock" made almost exclusively from plastic goes right through a metal detector" After laughing to myself how it sounded like phonetically like "cock" and hearing the Die Hard part 2 Lore that somehow everyone believed was reality at the time, I thought to myself "what kind of fag makes a gun out of plastic? Isn't this thing is gonna melt or just shatter like a porcelain plate when you drop it?" cut to years later, I've purchased at least 4 of them and even put together a 17 clone with a fancy trigger and holosun.

As someone with smaller hands that fan boys the m9/92 a lot. I've never had an issue being the slide mounted safety/decocker. Even with that it's a none issue since they already have a 92gts with a frame mounted decocker. It would be easier to just make that a new m9 variant, make the decocker into a safety, Paint it brown, threaded barrel, boom you have a m9 gts.

So didn't buy any more guns, but spent a fair bit on lights and optics. Finally got off my ass and put lights on the rest of my ARs (and also upgraded the one on the A300) and ended up picking up Holosun green dots for my P10F CR, the Ruger Mark IV and the A300 as well.

Also got some trigger time in with the Beretta 84 last weekend and what a fun little thing to shoot. The sights are sorta shit, though.

In before the siggers blame the Serpa holster (despite it clearly not being obstructed, and his finger clearly off the trigger).
The comments are so fucking baffling. Like is it really so bad to say you bought a lemon? It's a piece of shit that has a far greater potential than any other similarly priced pistol to put a round into your thunder thigh. Like I can't stand how this case has evolved and I still got to see retards online doing anything in their power to take pressure off of SIG, even the unpaid actors!

"Yeah but the people shooting themselves in the leg are dumb cops"
"Yeah but the people shooting themselves in the leg are just dumb civilians"
"Yeah, okay the military is also shooting themselves in the leg with it, but those were just dumb grunts!"

So do you have to be a 120IQ nigga to not shoot yourself or have this gun go off without compressing the trigger? Cause if so, I'd say that's bad design. I don't want to have to baby and tuck my gun into the holster like a fucking newborn just to keep it happy and not wanting to tear my femoral artery a new one.

It's a speed running technique, sometimes the gun shoots your enemies for you, and sometimes you can skip directly to the Funeral Home level without even talking to anybody at the Hospital or Nursing Home stages first.

Basically, whiners need to git gud.

i think they're just a victim of regular old school boomer bullshit, the assumption that just because they made something good in the past that means that they can still make good stuff. the p226 isn't even a good gun and its, what, 45 years old? i wouldn't trust them to still make good stuff but im not the demographic with disposable income

So to the people smarter than I, if someone had a sig 320 X-ten they got shortly after it hit the shelves. How nervous should that person be to use it? Like range toy only, or pure paperweight, or is it late enough that it's probably fine?

It's not yet known for certain what causes it, but there's some guesses including poorly fitting parts, a broken spring or even flexing the grip frame.
Until someone actually goes through it with a fine tooth comb and not just to grift I'd say range toy or carrying Israeli-style.
