Bob Chipman / Robert Lewis Chipman / MovieBob / Game OverThinker - "Coastal Elite Thinker" who wants conservatives, Christians and manual workers eradicated. Universally ignorant; cannot tell reality from sci-fi. Sore loser with short fuse. Odious Disney shill. Tranny chaser and general creep. Fat and diabetic.

I can see that Rowling is small-minded enough to hold a grudge over Radcliffe and Watson (plus the man who played Hagrid, who is dead); I only read the first few chapters of the first Potter book and I find the venom in her writing a huge turn off.

The Dems should restore trust to institutions -- by making everybody watch cartoons.

"...mete out extremely harsh punishment against people who abuse trust in institutions"? Hey Trump merely fired them and they call him autocrat despot dictator tyrant etc etc etc.

Saw Bob's newly-uploaded video review of Snow Zeigler. The fact that even he said it was "just okay" and "pretty good" (because to him, modern Disney movies can NEVER be mediocre or bad) tells me that it's going to be disastrously terrible for most other people. I'm hearing that even the shills aren't liking it, and Bob is beyond a shill (though curiously he never gets compensated for it possibly because his view counts don't justify shill freebies/junkets). At the beginning, he loudly declares that the Internet Was Wrong!!! about the movie then goes on to describe what is even in his glowing terms a pretty hollow-sounding movie who's best utility is getting your kids to sit down and shut up while watching it.

As usual, the resulting storm of negativity surrounding the movie and its starring actress will probably be more entertaining than the movie itself.

Bob loves to act like he's a part of the big Hollywood machine with his shilling, but the truth is that he's so insignificant that it really doesn't matter if he shills or not.

First, a response to the original point:

The problem with "restoring trust" is you'll have to stand against the Democrat orthodoxy once in a while. You'll have to not trust the carefully chosen experts on things like, say, ivermectin. But that's beside the point: "mete[ing] out extremely harsh punishment against people who abuse trust in institutions" is weasel-talk to justify going after your political opponents and justifying it with motte-and-bailey fallacies.

Robert just saw the word "cynicism" and immediately began stroking his hateboner towards South Park.

Truth be told, the influencers who do get shill freebies don't have significant influence either, I guess they were just there first and Bob found out too late and missed out.

I do find it funny that even Bob's own groupthink replies aren't even interested in the movie he was going to give SOME positive press to no matter what. These live action remakes are SO BAD they've even alienated the woke adult children.

The fantasy for young women to be a princess isn't going away, they're just getting it from video games and anime now, not Disney anymore. Video games and anime are even better at delivering on if the young women want to be capable fighters too!

The Democrats will fight any fight just to spite Trump, regardless whether it is worth fighting or not, or even whether if the people want that fight or not.

Even Bobby agrees that youth literacy hinges on promotional campaigns of fast food joints. Who needs the Department of Education?

In another thread there was some talk about "women finally getting crumbs" but as you point out, not even women are getting what they want any more (except the smut). They're getting what feminists and guys say they should want.

Just look up stuff like psychic princess or my happy marriage or apothecary diaries and they have some huge estrogen brigades behind them.

Family Guy, offshot from 20Mar#03

Literally all you need to know about Seth McFarlane is that he's the son of a couple of education professionals from Rhode Island. Mid-to-upper crust, standard issue mid-century Northeastern Democratic beliefs, utterly convinced of his own superiority. If Bob weren't Boston trash who's probably physically barred from the higher echelons of New England society and its playgrounds, he would both know who the guy really is and hate him like absolute poison.

So many words words words, just to ding Trey Parker and Matt Stone with the absolute harebrained idea that Seth is the better dude. What nonsense.

(Also, it's very clear from certain Family Guy obsessions that what Seth really wanted was to be a big Broadway/Hollywood musical star, which is hilarious in its own way.)

I agree Trump is going to far this time: information about suicide prevention should not be purged.
It should if it's not on-mission for the organization.

I don't think suicide or lost pets or leaky faucets are good... but, the Pentagon has no obligation to be spending any money in service of preventing any of them.

Stay on target.

That includes not diluting your budget, your focus and your manpower on things that are "good" but ultimately irrelevant to national security.

Lefties like Bob think anything "good" should immediately be taken up by EVERY institution and will hear no opposition .....which is how we eventually get boxes of condoms dropped to starving people in Africa with people questioning if it's doing any good called out as racists.

Yes, if there's one thing Superman (at least the older version of the character) is known for, it's being partisan. I'm sure he would help if a LexCorp building was on fire.
Of course he would.... because letting line employees burn to spite their Boss you don't like is peak Bob-Think. And why Teslas are going up in flames right now.

Supes? The most he'd do that'd be considered non-partisan is sarcastically tell Lex "You're welcome" with a smile knowing that it would burn Lex up inside (see what I did there?!) to have to take gratitude from the Man of Steel.

Speaking of "heroes"

Yeah, that's exactly what Superman would do if he could.....

Warner offered the rights to CvA on the open market for a reported $80 mil They only got lowball offers from other major studios. Only then did they write it off. And rumor is that the movie, while true to character and free of divisive politics? Simply doesn't have enough "meat" to fill 90 minutes of screen time when all the jokes about the Coyote suing Acme will be expended in 15 minutes and would be better as a short before an actual feature film.

If CvA was actually released by Warner? I have a feeling it would've been a middling flop and these people would still be harping on us for "not giving it a chance" instead of WB for "not giving it a chance" because they are utterly toonbrained.

Veteran suicide is a real issue. If Trump wants to hew to the strong support of the fighting man (the warrior ethos, if you like) that he's been claiming and which Hegseth's nomination was supposed to clarion, then the Pentagon should be tackling it head on, in no uncertain terms.

What's much more likely for all of these deletions is that it's malicious compliance from bad actors still in the Pentagon, i.e., following orders in the most destructive, assholish way. There's already been some of this.

Okay, I understand that...... wasn't thinking of it at the time.

But I'll bet there's still a lot of people who get paid to maintain databases and websites for things that are at best only three degrees related to national defense, and they've got to go. (and are probably indeed fighting it out through malicious compliance, like, deleting pictures of the Enola Gay from the archives? Or any service member whose last name is "Gay" and saying "Well, Trump said no gays in the miltiary! I was just following orders!" )

My initial response was that anyone doing something that stupid was definitely an example of malicious compliance, but then I reconsidered, because these are government workers we're talking about, after all.

Correct.

[2025.03.20-11] The inability to read books for free pizza hurt Gen-Z the most: even Bobby feels like he can lord over them.
The only people Moviebob can easily lors over are the weak, eaily manipulatable people too stupid to realize that Moviebob is not their friend.

Which poses a problem, as the phrase "intellectual legwork" contains two concepts well beyond Moviebob's actual talents.

A diabetic can have "warrior ethos" too. Doesn't mean he is fit to serve.
Moviebob can also havw a "warrior ethos". Doesn't mean Moviebob is fit to serve, either.

Irony alert: Moviebob actually is animated by superstition brainwashing. Just look at how frequently Moviebob genuflects before Barack Obama (Moviebob: "Hallowed be Obama's name") and Alexadria Occasional-Cortex.

So are Republicans Believers who believe in Sky Daddy who answer prayers, or are they completely devoid of beliefs so they cannot envisage other people having beliefs?
Also pertinent: How many Democrats are also Believers™ who believe in a Sky Daddy that is capable of answering prayers?

I figure this would be worth addressing in its own post:

Now, I'm not the most Superman-literate person on Earth, but this comic clearly betrays the Superman character. One, I don't think Superman would allow anyone inside the Tesla plant to burn to death, regardless who they are. Two, I'm pretty sure Superman wouldn't want any nasty chemicals to burn wildly, thereby contaminating the atmosphere. Unless the fire was triggered by flammable Kryptonite, Superman would do his best to extinguish the fire as quickly and as safely as possible.

Yes, if there's one thing Superman (at least the older version of the character) is known for, it's being partisan. I'm sure he would help if a LexCorp building was on fire.
Supes? The most he'd do [...] is sarcastically tell Lex "You're welcome" with a smile knowing that it would burn Lex up inside (see what I did there?!) to have to take gratitude from the Man of Steel.
Sounds accurate to me.

Of course [Superman] would.... because letting line employees burn to spite their Boss you don't like is peak Bob-Think.
That midset is 100% pure Genocidebob.

And why Teslas are going up in flames right now.
And if any Tesla vehicle were to explode with anyone in it, Moviebob wouldn't care who was in it at the time of detonation, regardless if they're loyal Democrat toadies or not. Moviebob only cares about Moviebob.

Some of that is exactly happening.

Someone at the Department of Defense (or more likely some set of someones) apparently interpreted President Trump’s executive order on DEI as meaning that it would be improper to refer to the Navajo Code Talkers as…Navajos, and at least 10 articles mentioning the Code Talkers have been removed from DoD websites.
There have been many other questionable deletions made on counter-DEI grounds, such as the deletion of items about Ira Hayes of Iwo Jima fame.
