Switched my VPN to a Bri'ish server, just waiting for my token to expire so I can see it myself.

"We stood up, but they made it illegal to stand up!"What do you expect Brits to do about this, Captain Retard? We burned the entire country down last summer over how much we hate the government and without even touching on what they did to the rioters themselves, they imprisoned people for years for standing watching things unfold, or making socialmedia posts that remotely sympathise with rioters in response. People have families and jobs, they're scared shitless of what the government will do to them or their family if they try to protest anything again. The people in the UK live under a tyrannical regime that fucking hates them, your retarded logic is on par with hating people from the GDR or Soviet Union because they happened to be born into a system that exists to oppress them.
Brave's Tor Browsing mode is for convenience, they recommend using Tor Browser if your personal safety is at risk to cover all the possible leaks. Would argue that this is the case for all UKcitizenssubjects now.
"If your personal safety depends on remaining anonymous, use the Tor Browser instead."
From the new tab in Tor Browsing mode page, may have been updated in a newer version, can't check now.
Brave doesn't store browsing activity from Private Windows. With Tor connectivity, it becomes more difficult for sites to see your true IP address and for network observers to see what sites you visit. However, if your personal safety depends on remaining anonymous, use the Tor Browser instead.
This line of thinking is dangerous, because it makes you relaxed enough to let the government write endless bills because "ehhh, they won't enforce them anyway, it's all a show, probs won't impact me anyway.."I think people unfamiliar with our government underestimate how much it prioritizes the appearance of doing something over actually doing something. The primary purpose of this law is to get headlines in the papers about how the government is protecting children from online evil, or along those lines.
Is that an invitation to be blase about OPSEC? Not remotely. But I think it's important to keep in mind.
And before any of you go "but muh Caroline Farrow", I'll make the point with a familiar phrase: the tall poppy gets cut down. That's what we do. We go in hard on poor unfortunates to get headlines so we don't actually have to do anything beyond that, because that's expensive and time consuming.
That's also Ofcom's justification for sending that letter. This is quite literally for the protection of UK users,
If you're wanting something free, use Tor. Don't use free VPNs.I'd suggest adding something about how there are plenty of free VPNs that work very well.
Exactly. This is quite literally for the protection of UK users, so that they don't naively wander in here ignoring the warnings and get dragged off to Paki rape prison for years for calling a tranny sir.
Open an incognito tab and try visiting the Farms from there. That's what I did.Switched my VPN to a Bri'ish server, just waiting for my token to expire so I can see it myself.
I didn't say we shouldn't care. I said that this should be contextualised appropriately. And my primary point is we have to roll with the punches. You say "we need to stand up, we need to care". What precisely does that entail, in your mind? What course of action is not "cucked"? Do we vote for someone? Do we protest? Please, share with me your magic solution, because I don't enjoy this any more than you do, but it seems we both have to live with it, unless you have a better idea, which I would very genuinely love to hearThis line of thinking is dangerous, because it makes you relaxed enough to let the government write endless bills because "ehhh, they won't enforce them anyway, it's all a show, probs won't impact me anyway.."
News flash: It isn't a fucking show. They can and do go after people, and "muh Caroline Farrow" is a perfect example of this. She's a religious woman, a mother, and a wife, and the police dragged her out of her home like she was a terrorist for sharing a fucking opinion on the Internet.
You cannot be serious if you think that what happened to Caroline won't eventually happen to another person, and another, and another, and another. It doesn't fucking stop. It might be you next, is that when we should start caring?
I'm sorry, but people who have your attitude about this are fucking retarded, and it makes me agree with @Null when he seethes and malds about the British. If we all come across like this on the Internet, then he's completely justified for hating all of us, and I don't blame any other American for doing so as well.
All I can really say is good luck, Brits.I can't even laugh at the bongs anymore, I just feel sorry for them now.
Fucking hell
No internet connections from within Comrade Kiers gulag sadly.I'm going to miss the regular Mumsnet posters from the UK.
Would someone like to link this, or know when it happened/where I could find it on the site? I don't feel like digging through the entire Caroline Farrow thread. If you've never watched the videos of police harassing Caroline Farrow and her family, you should go watch them. They will literally haul away "mums" on the mere accusation of Kiwi Farms posting.
The farms isn't blocked in NZ. They had a pissy-fit over the Christchurch shooting video, but it has better protection of speech than a lot of other places. Like Europe, or Australia.I don't think he did it for New Zealand because nobody gives a flying fuck about New Zealand.
