Granted the situation at the time of the Ezscape's video was wildly different, but it's funny how this one turned out.

Would it be a wild guess to say that the uncertainty of Apollo refunding his gofundme started the rumors of him owing money in the settlement and Karl making the claim a year later is downstream of that speculation? And even though it was confirmed to be refunded, the gossip mills would have coped "well if he gave the money back he must be in double debt now".

Karl knew exactly what he was doing, talking about the case. In this video from last year, he reacts to a video of Billy Mitchell talking publicly about the case where Billy explicitly states that the case is about the Apollo suicide comments and has nothing to do with video game cheating.


In response, Karl calls Billy a pathological liar and states that the opposite of what he just said is true. Unfortunately due to the ongoing case Karl himself can’t tell us what the case is about, but video game cheating is definitely important (wink wink).

Does anyone have a screenshot of the reddit post Karl read that lead him to believe Billy had forced Apollo to pay him? It was posted in the thread earlier but I’m struggling to find it.

I think the post was actually by this ersatz_katz guy, which means Karl was actually completely fucked over by his own fan, and explains why ersatz was willing to fly halfway across the world to sit in on the trial.

No wonder ersatz is still coping about how Karl should have won on his blog, he must feel so guilty lmao

This lawsuit is ending in a weird time, with the US dollar dropping Billy not be able to utilize that money like he wants.

Still no explanation video from Jobst. 2 days since he said he was making one, and that everyone should wait for what HE says before they judge on the facts. Well, we had a judge do that already, the ruling and explanation of the case and its inherent details are all very clear. Nobody who has read the ruling or seen the Court video is bewildered on how such a result could happen.

So will he actually make a video at all at this point? Or will he take a month to get around to doing so, when the heat dies down and his ChatGPT has wrote him an amenable script to dully parrot into the mic.

His comment section is 95%+ negative comments on how they felt mislead and lied to. Even if he made a video on it he will only say that he didn't mean to mislead, and how it's all a BIG misunderstanding. But even now, nobody is buying that thought.


Maybe I should buy his ting tong bride off of him, he sure needs the money. Or maybe I can pick her up using his PUA techniques. Let's face it, I am far better off than her husband ever will be in the future

There were a number of different comments from reddit but ersatz_katz essentially "confirmed" directly to Karl that Apollo had to pay a settlement. He copes by saying that he had an "inside source" and had been correct on previous stuff like Guinness reinstating Billy's scores.
His trial coverage is insightful but he's coping the whole time and sounds like a huge faggot. image_2025-04-03_175146294.png

Good find. I remember that video and I remember not watching it because I got bored by Karl extending it beyond reason and never getting to a fucking point.
After now watching it I believe it does prove that Karl misrepresented the case in a major way. Claiming that "the opposite is true" misleads viewers or at least muddies the waters considerably, and then the just proceeds to switch the topic to other things to portray Billy as a bad human.

If Karl had presented evidence to the judge why he had a reason to believe his claims to be true he would have likely gotten away with a much less severe financial punishment.

Karl fought a lawsuit with his sworn enemy since 2021, and lost it. To Billy fucking Mitchell, the guy everyone made fun of and called a cheater. Everyone hated Billy. Everyone.
Now Billy's image has actually changed a lot for the better in the public view. I swear I have never seen this level of love and respect for Billy, some people are even starting to investigate and saying that maybe he didn't cheat or that the cheated runs were not even that important. (I have no idea about this, I've never followed the cheating scandal).
So now we have Billy gloating about getting record sales for his hot sauce on twitter, and if you check the comments it's full of people congratulating him and buying his sauce. It's actually incredible.

This is Karl's worst nightmare come true. He not only lost the case bigly, but he rehabilitated Billy's image.

My bet is that the lawyer Notch provided told Karl to settle and apologize as quickly as possible, Karl told him to fuck off and that's why Notch distanced himself from Karl completely.
