Any devs who might be inclined to give a shit about the label on their abandoned game can just push a small insignificant update to clear the tag from their steam page and they know they're scamming their customers at that point. You know, the thing even Mald failed to properly do the first time without crying to steam? An interesting key difference between shitty devs crapping out some shovelware onto steam and hoping it'll game some popularity, and Mald, is that the devs pumping out the shovelware will have moved the hell on to something else. Meanwhile Mald continues to actively promote his abandonware project.

Who has said that aside from Mald himself? This scripted line of, "...doing it for some kind of tax break by taking money from my left pocket and putting it into my right pocket" is weird at this point. Then there are the lies about vet partnerships. As I understand it, Shaye is the on-site "vet" (she is not a veterinarian and is also a hoarder) and the vet office she works at as a vet assistant (requires no formal training or education in Washington) is the vet they "partnered with" by bringing in sick or dying ferrets to get treated. That's like saying I "partnered with" the veterinarian I take my dog to. Simply misleading.
Again, if you replace "ferrets" with "dogs" or "cats" it shows just how insane this actually is and that it isn't a rescue.

As well, his "rescue" isn't registered in any way so how do people know to take their ferrets there? How do people support the "rescue" that don't watch his streams or aren't a personal fan? What is the surrender process?
Mald can pretend that there are answers to these questions but it's irrelevant when there is nothing out there explaining it for someone who has no clue who he is. How is a random ferret owner who is unable to care for their ferret supposed to find Mald & Shaye to surrender their ferret to and know it's going to a good place?

Finally, it cannot be said enough, this is not a rescue. Rescues aim to re-home animals, it is unsustainable for a rescue to hoard them so any genuine rescue has a network to help find good homes for the animals they rescue.

A better lolcow comparison is Yanderedev, it's been a while since he was relevant I think but if I'm remembering correctly he's almost 1:1 following the same path. Both of them have been working on a shitty game forever, both of them got popular by building a cult of personality around their YouTube videos/shorts, and both of them livestream at ungodly hours instead of working on their games. Also neither one can actually code.
