Something of note reading these. The first speedrun gofundme was the "Help Victims of Billy Mitchel". That was May 21 2021. The second was the "Karl Jobst Defense Fund" in November 4th 2022.

The first gofundme. The way the pitch is written is it's about Billy's cheated score and involves David Race and Twin Galaxies, the owner of the leaderboards. This whole thing would eventually be settled with Billy but it does involve him cheating to some degree. That was the narrative presented in the pitch and what Karl made videos on.
The second gofundme uses phrases like "I'm a youtuber who often reports on video game cheaters" and"Billy Mitchell, star of The King of Kong and proven video game cheater, sued me for defamation claiming damages of $450,000". Nowhere does it outright accuse Billy of cheating, only insinuating it. It is probably something his lawyers advised him on before he launched it. But you can see how he had the narrative from the first gofundme, spun it off into a second and then made a dozen videos on his channel all reinforcing the notion that this lawsuit was about cheating, not that it was about insinuating Billy had caused Apollo's suicide.

It's such a subtle thing and Billy couldn't point it out because Karl could just say "Nowhere in the gofundme pitch do I directly accuse Billy of cheating." This whole narrative relied on Karl actually winning his lawsuit but in the end he didn't and now he's hiding in discord dodging people asking for refunds and refusing to explain what happened.

I feel like the only reason Karl wanted to go after Billy's son is due to Karl's own daddy issues (Gave his son, Maximus, the Wong last name because of his daddy issues and not wanting to pass down the Jobst legacy and also because he's an asshole who wants his son bullied for a ridiculous name, Maximus Wong).


From what I've heard of and read throughout these threads, Billy's son loves his father and had full faith that Billy would win the lawsuit and that ENRAGED Karl. How dare a son loves his father and puts his trust and faith into him. Karl had daddy issues, no son can love their father unconditionally! I also understand that Karl wanted to go after Billy's wife too so I'm not surprised Karl would go after family members who dare I say reasonably love and support a family member despite public opinion saying otherwise.

Let's start with the most amazing people. For example, last year I launched a GoFundMe asking for help, which raised almost $150,000 Australian dollars.
