LLMs are useless. It's hard to emphasize this hard enough.

An LLM is a very simple system with a random number generator and a filter and when you combine them with some textual data the filter spits out the next most likely word

that's it, that's all an LLM does. There is no LLM in the world right now that can think a thought. There is no LLM in the world that can change anything about itself in response to the data it receives. It doesn't even predict multiple words at a time - it predicts one, then it just uses the one it predicted as part of the input to produce the next one.

The LLM is simulating the part of your brain that turns a thought into words. When you think of an apple and you want to say "red apple" you have a part of your brain that is trying to figure out the best word to use to describe the token another part of your brain has given it.

If you took the most advanced military AI in the world right now and put it in the middle of the woods it would immediately get lost and die.
If you took a cockroach and put it in the middle of the woods it would find a mate, reproduce, and live a full and happy life.
There is no AI in the world that is comparable to a cockroach. Every single AI is infinitely more retarded than a cockroach.

The AI technology we have now is fundamentally unable to moderate an imageboard on the most basic level.

I personally didn't care about the "racism" ban shit and thought it was pretty much fine. Like, it's rule number 1. It has its own dedicated report function. It's basically a literacy test at this point.

I think the only thing I do have a problem with with the enforcement is that they don't do shit to people intentionally racebaiting most the time even when it's blatantly obvious trolling. But I guess the argument is that it's a lot easier and requires zero context to ban someone for saying "nigger" while it might take 5 seconds to load a thread and discern if something is blatant shitposting or not.

I get LLMs to do wild stuff in my career for companies, but comes with understanding their nuance and DB design. I do build them to make decisions.

I think its possible, tho wont be perfect yet, but you would get close. have it nuke CP and any other criteria, and design your "spirit" so to speak and let her rip. some shit would happen you dont want, for or against, but it could be kinda funny.
I'd at least like to see it tried. You would have to keep evolving the environmental vars so youd need a self learning pipeline, but i mean, were all already doing this in the working world. no reason we cant with an image board.

That's the crazy part, because part of the subversion of /pol/ was to generate constant infighting and purity spiraling, to keep real anons(like the ones who are now here and somehow magically the biggest haters are absent) blinded to who is who as far as real user base goes, but when food political threads happened shills couldn't hide in them, because so many organic anons would just post their favorite food while Banting about how bongs dump beans on everything
They operated as a sort of meta where for a short time we all were ignoring the psyops going on outside in the catalogue. I'm convinced at least one moderator for /pol/ is an Eglin plant, because they would delete any meta threads that gained too much traction the same way, they DO NOT want /pol/ anons having actual discussions where we aren't being animals to eachother, and I suspect the shia Labeouf incident is one of the reasons why

I remember there used to be white pill threads featuring landscapes and architecture. There was still political discussion in them, but the jannies started coming down hard a few years ago. I haven't seen one in a long time.
