KF Guide to Woke Games

FYI, this character was also an unlockable in Super Meat Boy.

...Great way to ruin the reps of two games at once. Seriously, what the hell?

By the way, the character is based on a real woman that the troon was abusing at the time. Crazy shit like refusing to use her name.

Why is it that trannies tend to be the biggest degenerates? Rhetorical question, by the way; I know it's because of bathtub hormones and dick mutilation. Just venting, I guess.

Reactions: Juaco
Game: Mortal Kombat 11
Developer: NetherRealm Studios, QLOC, Shiver
Score: Mild
Reason: Two pre-fight intros includes jabs at Donald Trump's presidency. Shao Khan, a brutal tyrant, says to Kollector that they'll Make Outworld Great Again. A more debatable case is when Erron Black, a Texan gunslinger, says “I’m not such a bad hombre” and Jax responds “just stay on your side of the border,” a possible reference to Trump's bad hombre quip during his 2016 campaign.
In Jax's arcade ending, he says he's "not waiting centuries for people to get woke" as one reason why he's using the hourglass to stop the African slave trade, and succeeds after multiple tries with no negative consequences. Ironically, in Jacqui's ending, she gets erased from existence after preventing her father from dying since their parents would have never met and Jacqui wouldn't be born.
Game: Mortal Kombat 1 (2023)
Developer: NetherRealm Studios, QLOC
Score:
Mild/Medium
Reason: One intro interaction has Johnny Cage asking if Ermac goes by he/him or they/them pronouns.

Apparently there's audio of her being (semi-consensually) beaten in the second game, "Jill off with one hand".
I'm gonna be an epic tranny indie star with the leaked Shmorky audio. Gotta get my yarnwig!

as a long term MK fan.
I'd argue heavy especially with how they Hijabd all the women and reduced their busts sizes.
MK1 is even worse in this regard.

Wouldn't expect this to be here, it's fairly mild and you might miss it, but the Sam and Max Season One Remastered edition edited a few jokes to sand off the edges. Most of these may be irrelevant to the thread, except for the joke where bosco dresses up in drag.

The entire conversation where bosco basically acts like Tyler perry's Madea was removed from the game. Bosco himself was also oddly recast, though whether that's because they couldn't get the original actor back to redub the censored lines or another reason is unknown.

Lunacy. None of those jokes are remotely offensive and still very topical after all these years.
Fuck video game companies.

It's for a woke reason because Bosco is "black-coded" and the OG voice actor is white. Every other character has their voice lines almost completely changed from the original, all they did was raise the audio quality.

From Planet Coaster 2's Update 4 video:

(Note how they couldn't be bothered to add hardly any stickers to assign to your franchise, or God forbid let you add custom, but they HAVE to make sure "muh representation" is there so you can tell everyone your parks are fag friendly)

Other than that, there's really just "Body Types" for your avatar, and those don't even matter that much because avatars aren't really used for much anything. I'd say it's pretty mild, so far, aside from launching $20 DLC packs right along side the game instead of integrating them into the base.

I bought the Oblivion remaster. While "Type 1" and "Type 2" are obnoxious, that alone is not enough of a dealbreaker to make me boycott. However, Bethesda deserves to be bullied into offering a Male/Female patch, and in the meantime Nexus should be bullied out of deleting mods that change the text to that in character creation.

If it's "not a big deal", why are they so hung up on enforcing their new desexed binary?

Game's ugly as sin, but so was the original. It plays alright. I can't tell if I liked the old leveling system or this newer one more; the old system allowed you to get up to 15 attribute points per level (11 points if you're leveling luck), but this one caps at 12 points per level (and only 9 if you're leveling up luck). The benefit is you no longer need to micromanage the skills you're using to efficiently level, as you're putting attribute points wherever you please, and leveling is based on all skill levels gained rather than just "major skills" selected at the beginning.

Unsure how the enemy level scaling works yet. I remember that the first game got really difficult starting around level 10 or 15. I'll report back once I know more. I'll see if I can do that honeypot quest in Anvil, too.

When it comes to RPG's I don't mind it THAT much. I mind the philosophy behind it in today's world, but in principle it's not a stretch to imagine a fantasy world where there is maybe more than male and female. I believe Ultima 2 or 3 had 'other' as a gender option back in the 80s for this reason.

It's not a dealbreaker. If they're not sneaking in unmoddable pride flags and plot points about respecting peoples' self-chosen identities, it's not that egregious. It's just "they/them" picking at the exact same scab that "they/them" have been picking for a very long time.

I think the earliest I know of a popular game or media doing nonbinary is 1993's Secret of Mana. Randi's a boy, Primm's a girl, Popoi (the Sprite) is defined as neither male nor female. Looks kinda like the feral kid from Road Warrior, but with better hygeine and drawn in a chibi style. Androgyny made sense for that character and kept the peepee-to-hoohah ratio even.
