Tautologically, DNA analysis would conclude that Jews in general are related to Israelites.we barely have any Israelite or Canaanite DNA, and all the evidence is that they were both diverse groups (which makes sense for a place where three continents meet up).
In order to conclude that they are genetically closer to Lebanese or Palestinians, you have to start out with the assumption that they already are the real natives. It would be like doing DNA analysis of Chicagoans and concluding that Poles and blacks are the region’s real natives and that the Kickapoo are settler-colonists.
Genetic analysis is inherently flawed, but to somehow reach your conclusion requires going in with an agenda.

Thank you for asking this because when I went looking for the quote, I realized that I misspoke. It was Mahmoud Darwish who said this, not Edward Saïd. I got my Palestinian writers mixed up.
The quote comes from an interview of Darwish in Notre musique, a 2004 documentary. Talking to a Jewish interviewer, Darwish says:

An Israeli soldier was killed and three others were wounded during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip earlier today, the military announces.

The IDF says the name of the soldier, who served as a tank driver in the 14th Reserve Armored Brigade's 79th Battalion, will be released for publication later. His family was notified.

In the same incident, a reservist in the 79th Battalion and an officer in the elite Yahalom combat engineering were seriously wounded. Another reservist, in the Gaza Division's Northern Brigade's 8239th Battalion, was moderately hurt.

According to an initial IDF probe, the slain soldier was hit by sniper fire in the Beit Hanoun area, close to one of the military's posts in the Israeli-held buffer zone.

The other troops were hit by anti-tank fire, according to the initial investigation.

I think the two guys are yelling because they got shot. For those who don't know even if you wear body armor it's not like a fucking COD game. You end up with at a minimum broken rips, lacerations, and other internal injuries (that depend on what exactly you were shot with). It's often been described as being hit in the chest with a sledge hammer. Bullet proof vests/plates aren't bullet proof, they are bullet resistant, so the goal isn't so you can take shots and keep walking, its so that you don't have A FUCKING BULLET IN YOU and die from blood loss/whatever a bullet wound does to the body. It's like an airbag. Sure you're not dead, but you still are really hurt.

That tight 90 degree turn can easily turn into a death-trap especially if one person does not move fast enough. I have heard urban and CQC is one of the most dangerous types of combat around, and this basically proves it. That guy who's shooting at them could be up there with an RPK or an AK or an M16 and those bullets don't have to go far before they impact something, so they will lose no-energy.

And yeah, these are probably reservists who need some more CQC training. But that's the IDF for you: really good in some areas and (European) average in others. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the IDF needs some major internal overalls/training changes. But that's the issue with draft armies, you get the REALLY good with the REALLY average/bad and you just HAVE to make it work.
