That makes total sense. I didn’t know how they were doing it, just that the IBEW in AB doesn’t seem to accept ON credentials at the hall anymore.

It got so bad, we had to have them skill tested at home office before sending them to site, which is what the union was supposed to be doing. It got bad for a couple of years, but we don’t see that anymore.

The only good part of the election was watching Singh and his party get decimated. I badly hope the NDP's spirits are crushed enough that the party dispands sooner rather than later.

It's even funnier when you compare the modern NDP, who got less votes than bloc, to the NDP in 2011, who were the main opposition to the conservatives.

The weirdest is that the NDP started as a farmers' party for the prairies and is now just globalist neo-marxism. If the NDP did actually stick to working class issues instead of trannies, they would still be relevant.

An early-morning fire on the water in Mission has caused the City of Mission to activate its Emergency Operations Centre.

The derelict BC Ferry (Queen of Sidney) is on fire on the Fraser River. The fire happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 3.

Residents in the nearby area (Chester Street to 287 Street/South of Lougheed Highway) have been advised to shelter in place to minimize exposure to any hazardous emissions.

A city press release states, “if you reside in the surrounding vicinity, please remain indoors, close all windows and doors, and turn off any ventilation systems that draw air from outside.”

The Mission Fire Rescue Service (MFRS) and the Ministry of Environment (MOE) were actively managing the situation. Due to the environmental concerns, firefighters did not attack the fire but rather alerted several agencies including Coast Guard and BC Fisheries. The fire completely engulfed the old ferry which was decommissioned in 2000.

The activation of the Emergency Operations Centre aims to coordinate efforts efficiently and ensure the safety of all affected individuals.

I'm serious, who is PP? Who was he before he took over the leadership after Iggy got his ass blasted?

PP is a stuffed suit, he's no one and everyone. That's the big issue in Canadian politics. He's not particularly charismatic or interesting. He's got no achievements under his belt aside from milking the public teat for 20 years. He's not smart, he's not he has no new ideas or plans. He is literally just another suit, a replaceable cog in the WEF machine. A bland uninteresting Canadian politician who says the same things every other Canadian politician does.

Canadians don't vote for people. They vote against people. The leaders of the parties don't mean jack shit. Trudy may be a small exception just because of his name but even then he just a product of his time and not any different then any other Liberal Pol.

You could shove anyone and I mean anyone into a leadership role in any party and the same votes will role in. Canadians are morons and deserve everything that is coming to them because they are a stupid, lazy, complacent people who value the status quo over everything else.

Enjoy getting replaced by Jeets enmass and being taxed to death by the Feds to make sure those Jeets get nice homes and so Jeet Grandma whose been in the country for less then a year can get that nice expensive heart surgery at the taxpayers expense.

This year the interest payments on the debt will be the single biggest slice of the Federal Budget and it will only get worse because Carney will borrow even more money so he can give the funds to his masters. We all know those infrastructure funds will end up in the pockets of the elites and shit won't get done.

In the next 4 years nothing new will be built, nothing will change policy wise and the new carbon tax will be higher, the income taxes will be higher, the wait times for any service will be longer and the amount of immigrant will continue to grow until 50% of "Canadians" will be born outside of Canada

You don't have a country, you have a Jeet holding zone with heavy taxes and MAID

Ontario has the single largest non-sovereign debit IN THE WORLD. They borrow and borrow and borrow and then look to the other provinces of Canada to bail them out.

The GTA control the elections and thus should be the ones who paid for the results.

Trust me when I say this; it will be the raising of the GST to 8% then 10% that will be the cause of the dissolution of Canada. The Feds will have no choice, the money is running out and Trudy's policies directly resulted in the destruction of the middle class tax base. The only choice Carney will have is to raise the GST to help keep the debt payments under control.

That's it.

We're reaching end game and faster then I ever thought possible. Right now 10 cents of every dollar collect goes to paying the INTEREST on the debt, not the debt itself. 10% off all collected funds go to pay just the fucking interest alone. Do some math and see how long until Canada is bankrupt and you'll be surprised at how fast it's coming.

Also they are keeping Pierre because they have no one else. He did do way better than either Andrew Scheer or Erin O'Toole.

Scheer and O'Toole both got about 33% of the vote so this is objectively false.

In any case Pierre is a terrific leader of the Opposition. He fillibustered the hell out of the previous government which froze out legislation like the online harms bill. Unsure of how things are going to shake out with the current makeup of Parliament though.

OTTAWA — JD Vance’s close friend from Canada is taking back his open invite for the vice president to visit.
Conservative MP Jamil Jivani, who became close with Vance at Yale Law School 15 years ago, said it would not be “constructive” for the VP to visit his Toronto-area district right now given the Trump administration’s provocations toward Canada.
“Right now we have strong political disagreements, and that’s kind of how it is,” he said.

It’s a reversal from how he felt in December, when he accepted an invitation to dine with Vance in Arlington, Virginia. Jivani was also in Washington for Inauguration Day.
