Anyone who goes to a real law school and actually studies law to be a practicing attorney knows from criminal procedure that probation officers don't need probable cause to search a probationer's property. If a family or community member provides enough of a basis to the probation officer for their honest belief that Nick is abusing some drug, the officer can just knock and demand to search the house. All it takes is one nitrous canister or other drug container left out, left in the trash without being thrown away yet, etc. for his entire life to come crashing down immediately.
