RWBY - The Hindenburg on which Rooster Teeth rests its hopes, dreams and future

Viz will definitely want their investment back so it's not out of the question RWBY will comeback. Just how.

Ideally they should just fire all of them. But we won't be so lucky

Like I have said before if Viz is giving them a movie or whatever to wrap up things and finish it before a reboot that would be the second best choice they could make. If they are giving Kerry and the others the same leeway they had at RT, well I hope Viz enjoys their brand new money pit.

So, I got some news for you. Remember Ruby Rose's VA Lindsay? Today she came out as, trans? She claims she is just being "non-binary", but came out with a male identity , and the totally normal non anime male name "Jax" so idk. You be the judge:

This will surely have zero impact on how the show is written from now on. And Ruby will continue being her own separate character, and the writers will not use this to virtue signal at all.
I bet 3 doubloons she started watching The Amazing Digital Circus and started hyperfocusing on the purple rabbit of the same name.

Only half? Anybody who doesn’t see them as a comedy duo practically ships them.
Which is why I find odd they made the other two gay when white rose is by far more popular.

I have a theory the writer that self inserts as June, (Is it Kerry?) didn't do it because because he wants to ship June with Weiss. It's painfully obvious that's his endgame.

Don't interpret this as me being a shipper. I just can see obvious self indulgence when I see it.

Miles, you’re thinking of Miles. He’s Jaune’s VA. Also, the talk of being a self insert is just a rumor that got spread because of how much focus Jaune would get despite being a supporting character. And having the same haircut Miles had in V7 onwards.

What are the odds this is due to the Homophobic Ruby meme?

I hate to be that guy, but the rabbit isn't the nonbinary character.
Wouldn't discount the theory imho. She is latching on a male identity. Not the non- binary aspect that she already had it. The fact she is projecting on the rabbit know to be an asshole as his defining trait is a huge red flag to say the least.

Thanks for the clarification. Imho it's a strong possibility. That's textbook DeviantArt art tier self insert behaviour.

I've always found the accusations of "Miles Jaune self-insert" to be overstated because the reality of the reason Oscar and Jaune became more prominent in the show is it's a lot easier to write two young men undergoing variations of the hero's journey than juggling the four girls of Team RWBY for MC writing. There probably is some self-insert going on, but he's not effecting a hostile takeover of the show through his Marty Stu, he's just a bad writer.

The shows main character for the first few seasons was Jaune though. A character who is blatantly Miles self insert as he voices him and whose fucking hairstyle changes with Miles hairstyle. All that changes is that in the later seasons he gets slightly less focus, but still gets way more airtime than most of the, supposedly, main cast.

Its not overstated, its stated exactly as it is.

Him getting a four episode arc in the first season over Yang was really something, she was barely a presence back then.

Prior to this - the most known expensive anime you could compare it to is Dragonball Super at roughly $6,100/minute - and it's pretty obvious which one looks better. Alternatively, Attack on Titan ($5,400/minute) or My Hero Academia ($4,000/minute) are other comparison points.
What the fuck, for a show that looks like gmod webanimation??? Where the fuck was the money going???

Doing things inefficiently often costs more.

There are a few scenes where Jaune is setup to to be insanely powerful but they were never realized because the show ended - but the groundwork for him being some level of "do not steal OC" was laid down and expected to be acted upon.

You think so? I remember when they revealed Jaune's Semblance I found it to be very underwhelming and it was only used effectively in Volume 7/8 where they did the thing with Ren's stealth aura. Was there something I missed?

There are a few characters that look at Jaune like "what's this guy doing here", notably some teachers at the academy. They also make a big deal about his weapon several times as well - as if the person (and bloodline) it came from was extraordinarily powerful.

They clearly wanted to have weapons have more significance they wound up having - Jaune's being teased out several times (and Ruby using a Scythe instead of gauntlets).
