I guess Nintendo invented birds/parachutes/gravity or some horseshit.
It sucks but isnt the worst thing in the world. I havent played recent pokemon games - is there a feature like that where you use a pokemon as a glider? Seems like a strange feature to be pedantic over. I can understand summoning creatures from spheres a lil. This one not so much. I guess the point is just to harass with litigation though, not to make sense.

The only thing even close that comes to mind is Braviary in Legends:Arceus, and that works nothing like a glider pal. Glider Pals are instant, swappable, usable in combat and allow for multiple actions in use, where as Braviary has to automatically ascend you if used from the ground (glider pals do not do this), cannot be used in combat, and has the only functionality of gliding you from place to place and dismounting (like the generic glider) It actually works closer to the generic glider, if anything. Your ride pokemon in SV could glide/fly, but to call how the mechanics work "the same" in functionality is complete bullshit. The combat usage is a pretty big deviation in how glider/flying pals are used compared to Pokemon of the same, so much so that they are identifiably different mechanics all together. You have a lot of freedom to use pals in creative ways, in and out of combat. You can barely do shit with Pokemon beyond glorified cock-fights.

I know that Nintendo have been assholes in general since Iwata died, but...

I'm pretty much convinced that Palworld and/or one of its devs have personally pissed off someone powerful at Nintendo. Going after them piece by piece like this feels like a very focused grudge.

not someone, nintendo itself.
especially since half the world kept shatting on their heads saying palworld is better than pokémon and pockepair just happened to be japanese which means nintendo can roll them over with retarded copyright shit to make an example of them.
anywhere else nintendo would be told to fuck off if the judge responsible for handling the case didn't get a expensive gift or was a activist in which case the lolsuits would be dropped or nintendo forced to pay pocketpair respectively.

I personally think it's just because they're both japanese companies, the japanese courts are going to be bias toward the richest company in japan because the entire country is a corporate hellscape. A lot of the pokemon 'clone' games aren't developed in japan by japanese teams like palworld is. So of course nintendo is going to go nuts over one of the few they can do something about.

So is Nintendo just gonna keep the lolsuits coming until Palworld disappears? there's nothing that Pocketpair can do? like moving to another country or something.
