It just doesn't seem right. There's people in impoverished countries who would benefit from Chromebooks, and they're being destroyed for 10 minutes of fame. It's a shame that this is how the current generation of kids act nowadays...
Don't worry; an apologist will claim kids have always behaved this way, dismissing you as reactionary, old, or something similar, rather than acknowledging that, on average, American students lag behind students of other nations due to the conflux of terrible decisions made post-2020.

I wonder if this is why younger Americans tend to have horrid handwriting well into adulthood.

At one point of my life: I was teaching 7th graders who still wrote their 7s, 9s, and 5s backwards. When I ribbed them on this, they couldn't care less (or feigned it because that's what "hard" people do). They couldn't even type at 15 WPM. Admin actually preferred them to use STT which was worthless because of what use is STT if you have no concept of grammar or punctuation?

When they "wrote", lets just say it's really funny (in a depressing sense) to see a huge long-running sentence span an entire page with each letter taking up like, two lines on lined paper in all caps.

A mixture of lockdowns, TikTok challenges, parents who want to be their child's friend instead of parenting, and many public schools no longer being able to punish students fucked lots of things up.

I've used Chinese tiktok to see the difference, and it can be just as retarded as the international one. Some trends overlap, but not all. It could be that I wasn't logged in and they recently opened up international registration for a short time during the brief US "ban". Or Chinese people in the US with a mainland phone number.

I heard of people being able to sign up in Japan, Thailand and Korea, and those countries have access to the international web. So that could also maybe explain the overlapping???? There's even sexual content on there.
Yeah that sounds about right, I'm talking specifically if you signed up to it in China and set your age to a minor, China has much stricter laws regarding children's internet use than the USA and their version of TikTok is mostly educational content

Based for destroying school property. Gay for doing it in search of internet clout.
When I was in school my friend stole the RAM out of school computers to make his own computer better (from memory they only had one stick in them so it wouldn't boot anymore, which makes it funnier). It's a pity the laptop form factor doesn't allow that kind of innovative behavior anymore.
