The idea that requiring an ID to access porn will 100% for certain lead to the entire internet requiring an ID just to shitpost seems like such a massive stretch.
It has already happened in nearly every Western nation that now has strict internet controls. I actually remember the posts about the UK internet shit ~10 years ago and people becoming increasingly concerned about it, then it progressed to Yew Need a Loicense Fer Dat, and now they get thrown in prison for memes. It always starts with "we have to restrict porn and dangerous stuff for the safety of the children!"

Personally I like the idea of just treating paid pornography as what it is, prostitution. If some people with weird fetishes want to still record themselves and trade it fine but if money exchanges hands for it treat it as a sex crime. That right there would dry up most of the porn market.

I'm sorry you might not be able to use porn sites so easily anymore. Maybe you'll go outside. Maybe not, who knows? Either way, I don't think porn sites requiring ID will lead to censorship of Kiwi Farms because obscene material is already not allowed and, thus, the website isn't affected.

You fucking retarded nigger.
It's wild how quickly you result to ad hominem the second your points get challenged.
But hey, you haven't shown yourself above fallacious argumentation.

I'm amazed that the iconic logic of "am I gonna need a license for my damn toaster!" is playing out in real time.

Besides, it's up the the people to make sure such a law wouldn't grow out of control to become unconstitutional like that. That's how this country is supposed to work believe it or not, we're not supposed to do nothing and accept our fate in a dystopian hell hole of a future for the sake of degenerates and junkies having the freedom to ruin their lives and everyone else's lives too.
KF has content on it which could be considered sexually obscene. It's not a stretch to look 10 years down the road and believe it would be in a silo that requires an ID check to get into. You know... to protect kids.

Go stare for a few and then realize that is likely not the worst thing we have I guarantee it and that it would fail an obscenity test

Yes it is. See Miller v. California (1973). They've been shifty and vague about how they define "obscenity" in the intervening half-century (to the annoyance of many), but generally speaking they've held that pornography is in fact protected speech.
Fair point, but yeah, "obscenity" differs.

If you just admitted you want to goon without your ID being stored by a retarded porn site, I wouldn't care. Your pearl clutching is what bugs me, but it is what it is.

Also, hi @Fatpacks. How've you been, buddy?

again you can avoid this by not watching porn this is like getting mad at someone looking at your ID to buy cigarettes when nobody is making you buy cigarettes
It is not the same as getting upset at someone looking at your ID at all. They don't make a copy of your ID or are required to do the "goy dance" or whatever Null calls it to prove you're who is on the ID. They check the birthday (if even) and then sell you whatever.
I agree people shouldn't be looking at porn but I also believe in privacy and that people should have an expectation of privacy. You're basically saying that some retarded 18 year old who makes a porn account and then whatever the account accesses is ok to be tied to that 18 year old forever even if the 18 year old isn't actually using it after a point. eg his gooner 16 year old brother using it to look at much more deranged shit.

nigga this site is literally dedicated to recovering the embarrassing mistakes of people

I'm old enough to remember late 2001 and the USA PATRIOT Act and the naive people saying it was a stretch to think the government would actually use it to spy on Americans. An example within the living memory of the majority of the thread regulars.

"Oh, the government would never actually do that..." is always followed by "Well, surely they'd not do anything like that again!"

And now we've moved onto projection. This is amazing.

We're not the UK, the US is designed for the people to keep their laws in check to ensure they adhere to the Constitution, and as it's been pointed out many times already, porn or obscenity isn't covered in the Constitution. In an unlikely scenario where a Democrat makes the career ending move of requiring an ID to be on the internet is when they lose all support and that decision would be reversed anyway. Democrats are already losing their support as it is anyway, I don't think they want to add requiring an ID to be on the internet to their pile of poison they are dying on their hill over. And Republicans know damn well they will have no support if they tried to require an ID to be on the internet.

In my opinion the first place to start with the online porn issue is to outlaw making profit from porn. If you treat people making profit from making porn as pimps and prostitutes in the legal system I think it would do a lot in the long term as far as removing the glamorization of porn and being a whore for a living.

I'm not too opposed to requiring ID for porn sites because I'm just not convinced it will balloon out to the entirety of the internet. It seems like a huge leap in logic to me. Especially when we already have to use an ID to get alcohol or the likes and that's never been expanded to "You will need an ID to buy caffeine, man!"
We could tax the shit out of people making porn. Or making money off of it.

lol I wonder what it's like to still have faith in the system

nigga the us army literally sent armies to prosecute the mormon religion, put german and japanese americans in concentration camps during war, and passed the patriot act

this essentially doesnt exist lol

Think of the money Null could make running his own VPN service though
Their margins tend to be pretty thin so you need a lot of users. He could probably at least break even and he could make it so it sidesteps tor requirements if there are DNS issues in the future. I know a lot of people hate using the Tor browser.
