Thing is, about 5 years or so ago, dude actually looked good, 8/10 for a guy. However, as time goes on, he's not really maintaining that look; and is increasingly looking greasier and greasier like time goes on. I actually do think that China's "colonization" of Tibet (actually, Tibet was already part of China and its "independence" was basically just the British unilaterally declaring them a separate country so they would have a weaker negotiating partner when drawing the Indian border... but it's complicated because it's an isolated region at a time when China was constantly engaged in civil wars and being invaded) is 100% justified, but Hasan is too stupid to defend it.
Hell, even if you don't mind him being the son of a politically powerful billionaire or a millionaire living in luxury in Hollywood... what exactly is he bringing to the table? It's pretty simple. He's a relatively in shape dude with decent facial feature AND he has the "right" opinions and politics. The amount of women who want a masculine liberal is pretty high and Hasan checks those boxes. He checks those boxes so much that they'll ignore that he's a fratboy douche who dismisses rape claims and glorifies actual terrorists.
A likely case of him turning a basic questioning/potential interview into a big case to take bad attention away from him. So a big ol' PR move.
