More of a perspective thing : IKOL is russian, and the age of consent is lower there, and it SEEMS that besides this stuff, there wasn't really anything noteworthy, much less THREAD worthy. I am a little more skeptical of age shit in these countries unless it was more repugnant in nature, his really seems more of an edge case especially given the norms of russia sooo, yeah I rated them as autistic / disagreed to a thread because is that really even worth a whole thread over?

Because age of majority isn't the same as age of consent. A 16yo russian is over the AoC there while also being underage. I don't know why some people conflate the two
Surely he could have used better terminology. Again, saying something like "I want to bang an underage girl" implies something, even if it technically means under the age of majority.

Well, I have two explanations:
I suppose it wasn't a tragedy in 10,000 BC. However, we live in Current Year AD and so have come to understand many things our ancestors did not. For example: never reuse usernames, never overshare, and NEVER date anybody below the age of majority.
In our universe, a few centuries ago. Back then it was the norm. Nowadays everyone is so sensitive people don't even bother looking for a partner with how paranoid everything has become. Note that I'm not saying this to defend IKOL, I'm just saying that times change, and in our universe we had some wildly different times.
Yeah I agree. It was most likely perfectly legal in Russia but it was still creepy, but here you need to acknowledge how IKOL acted, how old he was when it happened and how big the age gap was instead of defaulting to

Same in my country but people will give you more than weird looks if you date a 16 year old while you're mid twenties. It might be legal but it's still weirdo territory.
