The weird thing about this that's still making me scratch my head is how easy this would have been to twist into some sort of uplifting circle jerk. Claim you believe the person, whether you do or not, make a big show of how you're an ally, pay a bit of lip service and have the guy come out as having changed between then and now due to feminism, and there you go! Everyone can circle jerk about how they're so progressive without actually having to take the claims seriously like they did with Nyberg's paedo shit. If he's so smart why hasn't he figured this out?

Certain members of the alt-right won't call out members of their movement for shitty behaviour because they believe in-fighting and throwing people under the bus is counter-productive to their cause. I assume some SJWs operate under the same principle. We saw it with Pedo Nyberg and we're seeing it again now.

I'd say he's still too useful to cannibalize because there are very few successful SJW Youtubers and his style is well-suited for reeling in moderates. They won't turn on him just yet.

I'm not sure how well we should take the singular word of a self-professed "transman" on how someone zxher knows from years ago being a creep to them without filing any sort of legal claim that could have actually accomplished real justice and instead seems to want to stir some shit on the internet to make themselves fit better in to the "OMG muh Victim-hood" paradigm these people seem to live for.

I said something along these lines when the Devin Faraci scandal hit. However, from the post it's clear something went down, even if it wasn't rape. Plus, hbomberguy has a history of being a creeper, so I have no trouble believing he'd defend something like this.
Incidentally "right wing conspiracy" were the words John Money used to discredit anyone who was critical of his abominable experiments on David Reimer and his brother. Just saying.

His original post of it only hit 300 views, but the person accusing his friend of being a creep originally posted a version that hit 36k+ notes and probably helped get him his first subscribers outside of SomethingAwful. There's also a few more posts from the last few years that Hbomberguy has blogged from their tumblr, and he does a shout out to them by their name in his channel video on Youtube. So if the person accusing his friend is doing this as a "right wing plot" they've been playing the long con since 2015 or so under their real name.
I asked them (the dicksweredinner person) about it and they said they co-wrote a few of the videos and did a bunch of paintings for them too, including the backgrounds he apparently still uses, whatever that might be worth.
